Patrick's used to be my absolute favorite. But they changed. Recently I noticed that they painted over their window advertisement, the one we all know and love that boasted a big delicious meal, burger fries and drink, all for $6.99. Those days are no more. Now, Patrick's has a hastily painted over sign in the window, with no new price to tell on them for their shame. You must go inside and experience the slap in the face for yourself, as the same meal deal is now listed for $10.99 . Nothing changed, but they increased the price by 4 dollars. I take it back, something DID change... Their burger patties. The patties I got with my much pricier meal were so thin... The burger felt so light... I was jipped. We're all getting jipped at Patrick's now. What a waste of a perfect place. Shame on Patrick's for robbing the community that loves it so, and then adding insult to injury by not only raising the prices but also changing the FOOD!!! I never thought I'd see the day ... I thought Patrick's cared about their customers. ((Edit, In response to the OWNER'S very immature response to my review: I very obviously have been out and about these past three years, as my numerous and varying reviews can easily attest. It's a shame that your company is proud of what you're doing now. The Old Man would be ashamed. This is what you've done with his legacy. Patrick's used to have pride, and make us proud. Patrick's stood for something more than making money off us, and we felt it. That's gone now, and your response shows that perfectly. Patrick's doesn't care about the people anymore. You are very sorry indeed, Patrick's. Now...
Read moreI agreed to meet my dad here for lunch recently- against my better judgement. I was in the restaurant business for years. You can smell the filth on this place when you walk in. It smells like old grease and dirt. Dad has always loved this place though and he drove his fiancee here to eat one of their famous burgers. So I reluctantly agreed to meet here. The elderly blonde woman at the counter messed up their order. Dad just asked her to fix it. She refused to fix it and was arguing about whether she messed up the order or not. Dad said, please make this right- if you dont make this right I wont come back. She said "oh, well". I've never seen such a poor example of customer service in my life. No apology. No attempt to fix the issue. My dad wont ne back but neither will I. I will also insure that everyone knows how this place treated an old man.
UPDATE!** So, after reading the owners response below I was reasonably sure that the response was just a "blow off" response and that this issue had never been addressed. Unfortunately, instead of using a negative review as a learning opportunity, the owners did in fact just blow me off. My friend went into their restaurant today and of course the same rude older lady was there working. This is not the Patrick's of my childhood. This place used to be iconic. Not anymore. And now they have proven that they dont care about their patrons, really. Or their online presence. I'm shocked that they would outright lie on social...
Read moreHeard great things about this local place for years. Just never got around to trying it. Today decided to give it a go.
Big mistake!
The guy taking orders had a hard time understanding what we wanted to order. There were many people there waiting for their order. After we finally finished ordering we waited approximately 20 minutes. During this time there were many questions by the staff on what our order was - and many unhappy customers coming back to say their orders were wrong. One lady said that she had waited over an hour for her food.
In the end we received our food. We took it home. It was mostly right.
I ordered bacon on my burger - there was no bacon. We ordered tater tots - and received maybe 8 total tots. They were out of fries, out of fried pies.
My daughter's hot dog wasn't any good. My burger was just so-so. My wife said that a Sonic burger was better. And the lack of service was the biggest issue.
During our wait they turned off the "open" sign.
Also there was a gallon of milk sitting out on the counter the whole time we were there - definitely didn't want to order a shake.
A lady sitting near us said that she knows the owners and the service and food used to be better. There seemed to be no "adult" older than college age working - and as all places are having difficulty hiring workers - this place probably has that issue too.
We will be trying elsewhere for our burgers in the future. I'm giving it 2 stars as of right now we haven't had Montezuma's...
