I was so disappointed in what I experience tonight there. I ordered a 4 piece fried chicken dinner. Upon getting it the chicken was not fully cooked and very pink inside. I tried to eat the wing because that seemed like it was pretty done but when I cut open the rest of the chicken it was pink and bloody looking and tough because it was not cooked well. I know what uncooked food looks like I have been cooking almost 35 years. I'm not one to ever complain when I go to restaurants even though at times I'm not always happy with the service or some of the food but I usually just stay quiet and take the loss. But I could not eat this chicken. I cut it open with the fork and knife I was using to eat my other food. We called waitress over to let her know and she took the chicken back. It was me and one of my sister's that ordered the same chicken and her's was not cook thoroughly either. So next thing we knew they brought back the same chicken that our hands and fork touched. They just took it back and put it down in the greese a little longer. I could not believe what I saw. So we questioned her on it and she said it's ok because the greese would kill the germs from our hands and our saliva. I just thought that was not good to know or think about. And if you done that to us how many other people are you doing that too. They had a attitude about us not wanting the chicken and it was dried out from having to be put back in fryer. We were asked did we want more chicken then and it would take another 20 minutes but we didn't have that time to wait and I was a little afraid to order it again. So we said no that they could just take it off the bill. So they wanted to charge me a little over $9. Dollars for a side salad and some French fries which I thought was not right when the whole meal was only $11.99. I told my sister I was just ready to leave and pay what they asked but didn't plan on coming back there to eat again. The staff at this time seem to have a little attitude especially the one the checks you out. We went to pay for our dinner and she said don't worry about it I'll take care of it but with no love and compassion for us like we done something wrong to her. So yes the food may have been free but I don't go around and try to get free food I had money to come and eat something and was willing to pay my bill. I don't think I'll go back there because sometimes it's about the service and when that is good sometimes you can forgive them for some flaws they make along the way. It felt more like we don't care if your satisfied or not with us and we can care less if you come back and that's one of the parts that made it a worse experience. I'm not saying this for anyone to loose their job I'm saying this because people should know what affects people that they are suppose to serve and also everyone should be treated equal there because you should want the customer to come back and to tell others about your business. I decided to go there tonight and I told my sister that's where I chose and for her to meet me there but now I regret that she had to have this experience. I said maybe I need to just stay home and cook...
Read moreStarting by walking in you are greeted by the manger/boss barking orders at her employees. I felt so bad for them as they led us to our table. Once served the waitress was amazingly sweet and it was clear she was trying her best and her demeanor was incredibly gentle and sweet.
Once the food came out i started to dig into my tossed salad by eating a cherry tomato that instanlty made me gag. As I looked at the rest of the tomatoes it was clear they were past their best used by date. I didn't think anything of it and moved them to the side and kept eating my salad when I noticed the very limp and yellow lettuce. Even one of hte folks I was with mentioned how bad it looked. Again, I didn't really make a big deal about it and simply pushed it to the side and turned to my cup of seafood soup.
As I pulled my seafood soup cup towards me not one but two ants came out of the dish and cup. At this point I was no longer hungry. I don't like confrontation so I didn't say anything to the waiter.
As we were leaving the cashier asked how my food was and I whispered, it was interesting there were ants in my food. She stated I should have told my server and hoped my expereince would be better next time all the while charging me full price for a meal I didn't eat. I got the impression she didn't have the authority to change costs. As I stepped to the side waiting for the rest of the party to pay the boss/manager woman once again came out from the back barking "Are you comign or going?": to our party. What a gracious way to speak to your customers....
I don't think I'll return again as I heard similar reviews from the locals we were visiting.
As a side note I grew up working in our local dinner. I know it's a staple of a community and I wish I had had a better experience.I love supporting businesses like this. But I also know standards and...

Seriously, she knew the menu and even told us they would make anything we wanted whether or not it was on the menu. She was attentive and nice and we compensated her for that accordingly with our tip. So the food, I mean it's run of the mill, maybe. It's out of cans or frozen for sure which we very much anticipated I guess. I got the country fried steak with 2 eggs, and my husband got two egg with peaches and corned beef hash. Both my steak and his hash were a bit reminiscent of dog food looks wise. Neither had good color, crisp or appropriate type of heat applied that would make you think they were cooked at the appropriate temp for the right time. Kind of just mooshy and lifeless. Also, hubs isn't feeling so hot digestive wise and reading past reviews, that looks to be a thing here? Update, now I have severe intestinal issues and hour after eating here. Great. Thanks guys! It is what it is, but the prices were steep for what we got is what I'll say. Also, the blond curly haired woman who seems like a "manager" has some serious resting you know what face. Shes just outright rude too. Like she has a hard time playing well with others. When we'd watch her make eye contact with someone she would fake smile, then immediately roll her eyes behind their back when they turned away. To everyone, no matter the circumstances. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. Keep your emotions off of your face if you want to work with the public. She approached our table to replace the menues and I kinda got the chills. Once I started watching, I saw who she was very clearly. I cannot be the only one who's seen this behavior and it's one of the few reasons we...
