I went out of my way to go to Wendys because I saw an ad for their new sandwich "Cajun Crunch Chicken Sandwich". I went through the drive thru on 4/22/25. First they didn't have any spicy chicken left plus, no soda. I figured I'd try the original chicken patty made the way the new spicy one was after being offered this suggestion. I waited forever while the manger talked to some lady for a very long time in front of me. I had somewhere to be and even thought about just driving off. I have never done that. I finally get to the window and I say "hi". No response from the manager who takes my card. Then I get my food right away (probably because it had been sitting there while she was talking to the car in front of me) she gives my card back with the worst face and immediately turns her back to me and leans against the drive thru window. I sit there for a couple of minutes and then I left. I call the restaurant very shortly after and ask for the managers name. She won't give it to me so I say I want to leave a good review for her. She said its on the receipt. I tell her i dont have it. Then she says her name Arnell? Adele? And that I made her day. Apparently she only gives receipts to customers who won't give her any bad reviews. The lady who made her day was for sure NOT me. Make sure you get a receipt at this location.I will never go back to this...
Read moreI have gone to this Wendy's quite frequently, using the drive-thru. That part is fine. We ate inside today. They are so short staffed, we waited forever to place our order. The kid at the register was so slow and not quite with it. We got our order, and I went over to the soda machine to fill my cup. There was a very odd man/employee standing there telling me how to use the soda machine. I know how to use it and told him that. He continued to stand there, telling me how to use the machine. I told him he was too close. He didn't move. Then I took my drink to the table, and he followed me and kept saying I almost got it right. I seriously wanted to tell him to get away, but I think he had special needs. He would stand and stare at the soda machine. Then he stood and stared at a family with small children. People weren't sure what he was doing at the soda machine. It's fine to hire special needs people, of course, but this guy needs to be told to back off. As well, the air temperature kept fluctuating from really hot air to cold air. Very uncomfortable. I don't think I'll go in there again. I'll stick to...
Read moreI had the worst experience ever. I ordered five junior bacon cheeseburgers with no tomato. I had to send them back because they put tomato on every single one of them. Before I took the bag I asked the employee. I saw that you have tomato on every single one of them. Please correct this because I have family that cannot eat tomato by allergy. Instead, what I saw was that an employee woman that was making the sandwiches opened up the sandwich took the tomato out and rewrapped the sandwich. In front of me while I was sitting in front of the drive-thru window. That's cross contamination for an allergy. A lawsuit can be established for what I have seen today. Also I ordered ghost pepper chicken sandwich spicy no tomato. I had to go back inside because there was no ghost pepper chicken sandwich. And when I received it it had tomato even though I called out to employees telling them please have no tomato several times at the register waiting for my sandwich. So if you ever have an allergic reaction or once a modifications to your sandwich, do not rely on this Wendy's in East York right across from...
