Such an unbelievably FRIENDLY staff, surely THIS Panera location is the second happiest place on earth! Exceptionally clean, with a surprising amount of quiet tucked away areas to get out of the office and plug in your laptop ( I look forward to doing so soon). First visit here, staff and manager went above and beyond with kindness to my DD - insisting that they not only give her a cookie, but also try the cranberry orange bread ( we ordered at the POS computer, and because DD is a fussy eater, I did not order the cranberry orange bread. Admittedly, I speak loudly and the POS is not far away from the bakery counter so one of the staff must have overheard and I couldn't be more touched that he cared). DD ❤️❤️'d the cranberry orange bread ( she said, with impunity, after I baked it from scratch, that "Panera does it better!") so we came back to this location in Springfield a second time. barely had me sat down when the manager came out and greeted us, remembering our previous visit. Again, manager and staff were extremely generous with my daughter. TYVM!! We'll be back soon 😊
NB: there or at least three Panera Bread locations within 5 mi of my home. None of them are impressive or worth reviewing. And frankly, Panera Bread is expensive and I have been under impressed with locations near me. If you're going to spend your money on soup and salad, or bagels and coffee, go to the location in Springfield, PA ( for me, that's at least a 25-minute drive) and bring a book, your laptop, or your child for a pleasant afternoon with exceptional service, an affable staff, generous portions, and overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - no matter how poor your mood when you enter, I guarantee you will...
Read moreI am not sure whats going on with Panera Bread. They used to be my die-hard fast food spot. The past few times i have been at the Springfield and Granite Run locations, I have been extremely disappointed even to the point where I have had to take salads back. On three separate occasions when I have gotten the you pick two options, Ive come home with about a handful of wilted salad in the container. It almost appeared they used whatever salad was left in the bin to not have to open a new bag of fresh product. Once I got the chicken BBQ salad and literally there was about 2 tablespoons of just lettuce, 2 pinches of chicken with bbq sauce topping this hot mess. I took it back to the Springfield PA store and asked the manager 1. If this was a quality salad and 2 if he would serve it to anyone in his family. He stated no both times and used the excuse that the person who made the salad was in training...which is even worse because you let trainees make customers food and you do not inspect what theybare making and sending out to customers. Same experience twice at the Panera Bread at Granite Run...except I caught it before I got all the way home. Last weekend tried to get my grands the flat bread pizza. Granite Run ran out of sauce for the pizza...went to Springfield they ran out of flatbread pizzas period. Apologies for the long review but Panera has been dropping the ball on the quality of their food and service. Im going to chill from Panera for...
Read moreSince Panera added ordering stations... AMAZING! You don't have to actually talk to people 😅 You can completely customize your order. Add things. Take things away. Have options of things you just wouldn't of known otherwise. And its still just as quick and easy. You can dine in or take out Worth it
Update 05/06/22: so after the shine of the station has worn off... this panera is now a 1star. I ordered my sandwich... and they were out of bread, which i understand might happen... but this is not the first time this location was out of bread... and whats a panera with out bread? So i ordered extra Frizzled onions... and i got NONE. AND then there was a large spill mess. One of the drink machines broke. Not their fault. But the supervisor not having any idea how to handle it was. The child they had mop it up was a joke. First he didn't know how to use the mop bucket. But second no one took the time to teach him. He even asked his supervisor. Skinny guy with a man bun and a beard, didnt see a name bag. He just said " yeah thats fine" ... it most definitely wasn't. There are puddles left on the floor. In one of the most high traffic areas of the store. So extremely...
