Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Springfield Township

I’ve been in here before. It’s loud, and kind of unorganized. But I didn’t mind that because the ice cream is excellent. I think it’s the right amount of sweet vs toppings, and you get more than Ben and Jerry’s. But let’s get to the point. The service gets a two, not for in store but delivery. While the customer service was pleasant, it was pretty much an out of our hands response. The website does not inform me that my delivery was going to be processed through a door dash delivery person until after it is placed. So don’t be fooled ordering it off the website. Just order it through door dash, and if you have a dash pass avoid all those unnecessary fees. I placed an order at 6:47pm. It didn’t get picked up until 7:25, but was supposedly ready for pickup in ten minutes. By 8:00 I was on the phone where I was informed the dasher had picked it up and they no longer had anything to do with it. As I’m hanging up the dasher calls me, tells me he is stuck and cannot get to my location. When I tell him there’s other ways, he hangs up. I had to call door dash, who called cold stone to cancel my order, and of course no ice cream, no sorry here’s a gift card code, no solace for what had happened was issued. Just wait 3 days for your refund, and enjoy your night without ice cream. I’ll go in next time and deal...

Well. We hadn't been here in quite a while. Maybe 10+ years. We needed dessert after dinner and discussed the options. Dairy Queen, Chick fil a, Freddy's, Shake Shack and of course the supermarket. My daughter said Cold Stone! She hasn't been since a teen and would pay! I said it's expensive. Let's go to the market and get everything we need for sundaes or shakes. Alas, she prevailed.

It's always so busy, so I know that it's popular.

It was dirty inside. The counter was dirty. The floor behind the counter was wet. No cushion mat for the workers. The mix ins were a mess. The waffle maker was a mess. One of the hard workers had their lipgloss on the back counter.

Ummm. The ice cream. 1250 calories. Too sweet. And neither of us could finish a 1/3. Too much.

$17. She threw hers in the trash and mine is in mommie food pergatory...the freezer. Then it will go into the trash.

My review is simple. The atmosphere is not worth the price. The ice cream is not...

Came here for classic cold stone icecream and I'm very disappointed. Cold stone advertises their "artic blast" service where they freeze it somehow so it is colder if you are traveling farther home and won't melt. When I mentioned it to the employee he looked dumbfounded and looked to his coworkers for confirmation that they do not do it. Then proceeded to make every possible excuse not to offer the service. Eventually I was able to talk him into doing whatever he could so my drive home won't end up with melted icecream. I'm pretty sure he just wrapped this up with saran wrap and threw it in a refrigerator or freezer. I should have checked the bag before leaving but I assumed he did his job correctly. Lesson learned. Will not be returning here ever again and would encourage others to seek...
