So after our order was canceled by grub hub, i went to Christopherâs tavern, we waited 2 hrs for grub hub, and grubhub (not us) canceled the order, i went to go to pay for the food that me and my gf had ordered through my parents, i was willing to bet it wasnât hot still, but that was okay, i was willing to accept that, and pay for it, i went to the front desk, and asked if i could buy the grub hub food that me and my gf had bought, as my parents no longer wanted theres (it would have been cold and they were hungry.) i was going to buy my mac and cheese and the burger my gf had ordered along with the nachos. The lady and bouncer at the front were very pleasant and the hostess, asked me to wait momentarily, so i obliged stepped to the side and did so, i was approached by the owner. Who seemed to be angry walking up, but spoke in a decent tone to start, he then became more irate, and practically interrogated me off of his own anger, he began to yell and become irate and got very close to me. It made me uncomfortable... i then explained to him that he would have to go through grub hub to get his money for the food (whatever contract he signed with them is how he will be paid out) after multiple more minutes of him yelling and me answering, people started looking thats when he noticed that people were looking, and I believe that he became embarrassed? He stormed off angrily to sit at the end if the bar by the food window. A woman came up next and asked what i would like to pay for in all honesty i wanted the food, but the way the owner was acting was childish, inappropriate, and generally uncalled for. He was not professional at all, and all i was trying to do was pay for a portion of the food which other than me showing up would not have been paid for by us and would have went bad sitting on the table behind the hostess stand. If the owner,Chris had not acted so foolishly i would have thought about going back in person but honestly donât even think its worth it by the way he acted, i left without food, and proceeded back to my car, i would have been willing to go again but chris ruined his chances at having me or my family back, i worked nearly 3 years in food service as both front of house and back of house, i have never and i hope i never see an owner or anyone of management act as inappropriate as this. It was sad to see and because of this Christophers tavern will NEVER be recommend, or...
Read moreTerrible experience with this place! Will never order from here or eat here ever again. The bottom line is that the customer service is awful and totally inconsiderate to customers. I will say that at least I received a full refund.
I placed an order for dinner for the family around 7:30 PM and was informed via Grubhub that the food was being prepared and would arrive by 8:45, which was perfectly reasonable especially given it was a Friday night. At around 8:40 the the application updated that the order would arrive between 9PM and 9:08, again, totally understandable on a busy Friday night from a bar/restaurant.
However, shortly after 9PM I was contacted by Grubhub customer service to inform me that when the driver arrived he was told that "they had no gear to pack up the order, so they were not doing any delivery orders." I can only assume that this meant that they had no more to-go containers or something along those lines. That is bizarre in and of itself, but I would have been fine with it if they had just informed me of this immediately, instead of letting my family wait over an hour and a half just to cancel our order.
I tried to call the restaurant's posted number several times directly, to get a better explanation of what went wrong, but no one answered and I got a message that the voicemailbox of "Chris Erolotta" was full, so I couldn't even leave a message.
They not only wasted my time and ruined my family's dinner, they also wasted the poor Grubhub driver's time. Just a completely badly run operation and I won't ever be going...
Read moreAs a bartender myself I donât believe in giving customers the same glass when they order another draft beer. Maybe some bartenders out there feel differently but this is just my opinion. It doesnât take much effort in my part to reach into the freezer and pull a new clean, cold glass and pour the beer. Iâm not sure if this bartender was having a bad day or doesnât like working there but I believe she should have known better. I understand our â regulars â are important but new customers should be treated just the same. I had to waive someone down for another beer. I was going order food but after that interaction I witnessed and experienced I had no intentions on staying. I was able to interact with Darcy which was a phenomenal bartender. This review goes for the staff and the way this business is operated. I hope this reaches management and they are fully aware of whatâs going on. Recommended from a friend to come here and I get this service!! Treat everyone with respect and dignity, word of mouth is the most effective and dangerous advertisement out there! Darcy thank you so much for doing the best you can in the...
