Atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming with the Mexican themed décor. Waitress was very nice. Food choices were more on the americanized Mexican food.
My girlfriend got the enchiladas and thoroughly enjoyed them. I got the eggs and chorizo plate with flour tortillas. She said the sauce was good and her food was delicious. She would definitely come back. I thought the eggs and chorizo were delicious, but the beans a little bland and the rice a little flavorless. So I probably wouldn’t come back.
That’s not to say the food is bad. The food is good and tastes good. But it didn’t feel authentic Mexican. No tacos de Lengua, al pastor, cabezas, etc. were on the menu. I ordered a white Russian that came in a 4oz glass that was $9. It didn’t feel like it was catering to someone like me that enjoys the hole in the wall places, which doesn’t...
Read moreWe live very close to this restaurant, have dined inside and liked it enough to bring our friends to have drinks on lazy days, we have had this food a multitude of times, always thought it was pretty good, with large portions for decent prices, and the regular waitress is always really nice. BUT!! The quality of the food has gone down alot since the pandemic! My wife and I loved taking patron shots before dinner until we witnessed the waitress diluting the bottles at the kitchen sink through the service window! Now we won't even bother with the margaritas or anything besides a bottled beer 🙄 Tamales are dry and definitely have been frozen, burritos are not at all satisfactory, chips are usually stale and please don't order the beef unless you want beef stew in a blender thrown sloppily inside a tortilla and covered in...

Overall the meal was overpriced for the small portions and low quality, bland food. It was also packaged to go with just a plate covered in foil.
The chicken was dry and tough. The molé had good consistency with a subtle smoky flavor, so edible by Eugene/Springfield standards. The rice was fluffy with a soft flavor. The refried beans were bland. The guacamole was flavored alright, but it cost $6.95 for about 2 TBS of it. The salsa was very watery, but did have some spice to it. The chips were bland. The flour tortillas were rubbery and tasted like microwaved store bought.
I will not be...
