First visit to a Panera Bread restaurant was definitely NOT a good experience. My friend and I went in for a late lunch, around 2:30 so no long lines but in attempting to make an order from an unfamiliar, and not very clear menu -- we both wanted a hot sandwich of some sort-- we were a bit confused as to which sandwich to order. The person taking our order barked questions our way, clearly wishing to just get us the hell through the line and out of her hair. ‘Rushed’ is an understatement. We quickly ordered just to get out of her way.
While one sandwich was on plain bread, one was grilled, but neither was prepared according to the menu description. The Bacon Turkey Bravo was missing the bacon. The Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt was missing the cheese. The floor supervisor’s reaction was a half-hearted “sorry”. Just “sorry”… by now that made three of us.
One helpful wait person did ask if we would like butter for our bread, we accepted the offer. She disappeared, we assumed to get butter but she was never seen again. So when another wait person approached our table we requested butter. It was delivered, plunked down on the table by an obviously irritated woman who informed us, “for future reference the butter is next to the lemonade”. Now why didn’t we think of that? Butter and lemonade obviously go together. In place of a gratuity we left a note, “for future reference we tip for service.”
If you are looking for even basic service this is not the place. The employees were downright surly. The restaurant was clean, and that is about all I can say good about the experience. The sandwiches were both missing ingredients, and a bit stingy for the price charged.
Would I go back? I might try another location, this restaurant needs to have a serious retraining session for its snarky employees. Dine somewhere your patronage is appreciated, the employees are friendly and the food as described. Panera Springfield...
Read more3/15 Cancelled Sip Club and I'm just not coming back to Panera. Drove 15 minutes, tried to place an order in the app and it tells me there's an extended wait of over 30 minutes and that I need to accept a new time (for a single menu item). It's always something. First a 20% offer valid for today only wouldn't load from their email, then the order delay, the tables are never clean, drive thru patrons get service before dine-in customers. Clearly they don't need my business. I'll go to Winco and buy their premade sandwich on an Asiago Bagel and some soup. __ Considering the price to value ration, I expect Panera Bread to have a CLEAN drink station with properly maintained and functioning equipment. The Mountain Dew will continue to run all day until it decides it's time to shut off, the why the lids and napkins are stored is gross because you have to reach into a cubby that's under everything that splatters anything sticky. Even the electrical plug on the wall is disgustingly splattered with sticky. I've come here 3 days in a row, and nothing has been thoroughly cleaned. It makes me hesitate, because I wonder if they even remove the nozzles at closing time to sanitize them and prevent mold growth? ... Please, do better, I love Panera and pay for Sip Club. The GM needs to walk thru and look at the details. Have someone wipe the walls, get a more sanitary setup going.
Portions are great, people are friendly, but GM and AGMs need to reinforce a through job needs to be done with maintaining things, or get a dedicated person like a lead to do it. May want to rethink giving every customer 2 patts of butter also, that's a lot of waste for us who...
Read moreI don’t leave reviews ever. Or even call And complain. I ordered curbside. The first time I waited 10 minutes for my order. Eventually just went in. I don’t think they even planned on bringing it out. 3 employees all standing around and my Order just sitting there. Second time I waited 5 minutes I already knew it be the same Situation as last time. My order sitting on the counter my drink melting. 3 girls standing gossiping. Not helping anyone. Running my order out could have been done. I was really irritated with them. I told them I waited for my order and “you guys don’t look busy at all” it was hard not be irritated with them. As I was walking away the girls were laughing and giggling thinking It was funny. It’s not funny. It’s rude as hell. I also make sure I tip I appreciate service. Especially having my order brought to Me. I called the manager to ask they be more Considerate when it comes to curbside pick up. She didn’t seem To care. Im sure all the Employees are Close and have each other’s backs. This is why I’m leaving a review instead. Don’t order curbside endless you have the time wait until they do it on their own time. Or not at all. Matter fact just get rid of it. The employees don’t want to do it. Why have it. Running late because they just don’t feel that taking an order out is part...
