Burger King — Restaurant in Springfield

I have to admit that until a few months ago, I couldn’t have told you the last time I went to a Burger King. It seems like everybody else like McDonald’s and Wendy’s had been far more in the forefront of my mind.

My wife and aI like to get a quick breakfast on Sunday mornings as we are heading out for the day. It used to be a stop at McDonald’s for the most part, or randomly another place. She smartly said, “Why don't we try Burger King for a change”. We ordered ahead on the app, and headed that way. We arrived and pulled into the drive-through where we were pleasantly greeted and asked how we could be helped. My wife gave her name and said she had a mobile order. They politely said, “Great! Let me look that up for you you”. Just after, they enthusiastically asked us to pull to the window and they would get everything ready for us. We arrived at the window to a smiling employee letting us know they will have our order out quickly. About a minute later, our hot, fresh breakfast sandwiches were brought out with a smile, and a “Have a great day”.

This is not just a one-off experience. This has been a constant for months. Even when my wife had a bandage on her arm, they asked if they could give her a complimentary cookie to help. The management and/or owners of this store definitely have it right. Even when an employee who was emptying the trash who had the headset on saw us pull up to the drive through, he immediately welcomed us and apologized that it would be a couple of minutes until he could help. The service has always been top-notch here, and continues every visit.

You might be thinking the service was great, but what about the food? One of the reasons we keep returning is the food is VERY fresh and hot every time we get it. You can tell somebody wasn’t in a big hurry, but rather focused on making sure the sandwich was assembled correctly. Nothing is falling off the sides, the wrapper is tight and holding everything perfectly.

I would say this location is definitely set up for drive-through, online/app orders and Door Dashers, etc. The lobby for eating is very small, and I think that is on purpose. Their location has small footprint, but they take advantage of every square foot they have.

I dont even know how to express how awful the staff and MANAGER are at this location. I ordered my food not a complex order either nor was it busy at all! The staff dis not seem to be listening while I was ordering and when my food arrived that was made completely clear. I kindly let them know they had made a mistake with my kids Jr meal and had made up a Jr meal that isn't even on the menu. The employee cuts me off while I'm talking and sends the manger over who has a bad attitude to start with. ( durinf this time employee shows back up and puts a cheese Burger on my tray still not what i ordered) I explain the problem to her and she trys telling me she will have to recharge my card for the new total amount and that my other order will be refunded in a few days or she will just give the kids meal. I end up just telling her I will take the kids meal and be done with it. I wait 20 minutes and no meal shows up abd we are listing to staff talk horribly about drive though customer and joking about how they asked for fresh frys buy this is what they are getting. I walk up to the counter to ask about this meal and the employee tells the manger that she already gave it to me. I become frustrated tell them never mind I am completely Over this experience and that they could do better job at taking orders and listening to thier customer. Tell my family to leave and not clean the table cause they could do something. I was told by stuff to not come back and I fully agreed walking out the door. As we reached our car another employee is running at our car demanding we get out of the way so he can take our listens plate and telling us not to be haters. The manger then comes out yelling at use and recording as us we are trying to leave flipping us off and completely escalating this interaction. Stuff need retrained on customer service or completely removed would be better. Will not he returning to this run down awful smelling shell of a Burger King. Oh then once home my sister bits into the Burger that i didn't order to pull out a long hair with her bit....

It's new in a tiny building that was a bank. So I gave it a few goes. This place is either run like a silent regimen that is reminiscent of the infamous Cool Hand Luke chain gang or it is complete chaos; no teamwork, counter gal will actively ignore you, faceless cooks moaning from the grill. There is a mini lobby that seats 20 comfortably- if you like ballroom style dancing around each other to utilize the one shared bathroom, 8 choice soda fountain machine, or single trash can placed conveniently by the door, so you can stare directly into it's gaping smell hole while you rethink your life choices as you stand in a line with space enough to only be 3 people deep, with allowance for personal space, from the counter to the door: the other patrons can opt to wait their turn outside. You don't come here because you want to but rather that you're in a hurry, you're hungry and you just want something warm, fast and cheap; but now you are so frustrated you are weeping because you picked the drive thru that's 6 cars deep, they're moving 1 every 3 minutes and you cannot possibly escape due to the teeny parking lot and flawed queue design. But hey,...
