Disappointing Experience at BWW Springfield, Oregon As a loyal customer, our family has frequently visited the Springfield, Oregon BWW location since its opening, celebrating many special occasions there. It's truly disheartening to recount my last two visits, which were nearly identical in their poor quality. I'll focus on last night's experience. We arrived around 7:00 PM to find the restaurant surprisingly empty—perhaps only seven or eight tables were seated. Despite this, we were told there would be a five-minute wait. Before being seated, I took my two boys to the restroom, and I was shocked by its condition; it smelled strongly of stale urine and was less clean than many truck stops I've visited. Once at our table, I inquired about the all-you-can-eat buffalo wings promotion, only to learn it was only available during the week, which wasn't mentioned on the website. Our waitress was very polite about the misunderstanding. I then ordered my standard 20 boneless chicken wings. My youngest son ordered a cheeseburger with a side of mac and cheese, my oldest son chose nachos, and my wife ordered a chicken parmesan patty sandwich, along with an appetizer of tater tot buffalo chicken wings. About 20 to 30 minutes into our wait for the appetizer, our waitress, who was incredibly apologetic and trying her best to make things right, informed us the kitchen was having trouble and all our food would come out at once. We told her it was no big deal, and she generously offered us some free French fries, which we accepted. When the food finally arrived, its quality was horrendous. My youngest son's hamburger was so overcooked he had to dip it in ranch dressing just to make it moist enough to eat. His French fries, along with the side of fries, were hard as a rock. My oldest son couldn't even finish his nachos because they were so unappetizing; they tasted as if they had used cold, canned cheese sauce poured directly over the chips. He also ordered a root beer, which arrived in a plastic bottle like one you'd get from a gas station—an odd presentation for a restaurant, as I've always been served root beer in a mug with a cup and ice offered afterward. My wife's Parmesan chicken sandwich was incredibly soggy and lacked distinguishable flavors. As for my usual 20 boneless chicken wings with Parmesan garlic and the new barbecue ranch sauce, they tasted as though the fryer oil hadn't been changed in a month. We only refrained from sending everything back because of our waitress's exceptional service and our desire not to burden her further. It saddens my heart to say that we will no longer be spending any special occasions or milestones in our lives with you. We truly hope that the quality we used to brag about at BWW will...
Read moreImagine microwaving canned dog food and that’s about what you can expect when it comes to food quality here. A $10 cocktail tastes like it was mixed with hand sanitizer, corn syrup and Red 40 food dye.
The atmosphere was sterile like a military chow hall with giant TVs everywhere. The overly bright fluorescent light really sets the mood. The staff are kind, but don’t check on you much. If you would like a refill on your fountain drink, you’ll need to either advocate for yourself, or if you’d prefer, just forget about it.
Comparing this place to other restaurants where the average bill per person is around $25, is an insult to those restaurants. The food quality here is closest to that of AM/PM at 1 in the morning - hours past when the what’s left should have been tossed out - but is still under the heat lamp, waiting for the desperate or the stoned.
Anything they serve here can be bought in the freezer section at Winco and tossed in your air fryer at home for better quality, in half the time, and 1/10th the price.
If you’re a guy and you’re thinking of taking a date here, you’d be better off taking her to see John Wick.
If you’re thinking of bringing your kids here, just save time and hit the drive thru - any drive thru - for better food at 1/4 the price. At least they’ll get a toy.
If you’re going out with friends and you pick this place, your friends won’t trust you ever again. You’d be better off picking Applebee’s…. Yes, Applebees…. in 2025. But without the flair.
My conscience is clear now. You’ve been warned. They’re so cheap, they don’t have on-table kiosks to pay your bill… hell, they don’t even bother bringing your bill on a tray, they just drop the endocrine-disrupting thermal paper receipt straight on the table with a sticky ball-point pen.
Just remember, there’s a reason they built this place in Springfield, at the Gateway Mall, and not Valley River Center. If you have a car (or can afford an Uber) and aren’t reliant on LTD, do yourself a favor and just drive over there. I...
Read moreI wasn't even going to bother reviewing this establishment and my recent experience here, but I've been personally affronted, so I figured I'd at least take a few minutes to explain what happened for my own peace of mind. So I ordered a couple meals online last Sunday for game day. Actually, I ordered a medium portion of boneless wings for my wife, and a medium order of bone in wings for myself. We ordered ahead of time so that when we showed up they'd be ready to go. By the time we got there, the status of the order was ready for pickup. The order was not ready for pick up. Look, I know it's game day and you're busy, but you should expecting a certain volume of business being that it's game day. We waited for over 45 minutes after we got there. That knocked a star off this review. Second, when we got home, I opened the containers to find that one third of my order was incorrect, part of my bone in order was boneless, another star. The food was hot and decent portions, I mean, it seems expensive, but I understand that prices are going up all the time, and also, there aren't really they many options in Eugene. We hit a snag though, because a bunch of the veggies looked like they were beat to hell, and were just rotted looking, imo inedible. That's another star. I want to take another star off, but I'm not sure if it's fair because this complaint isn't a hundred percent substantiated, but let's just say my wife thought we were treated rudely. I'm not sure if this place is a franchisee or it's about to be closed or if y'all need new management or what, but something phenomenal is going to have to happen for me to ever consider offering my business...
