Estrella Latina Restaurant — Restaurant in Springfield

The dining area is very clean and there's plenty seating. The staff are really sweet. Parking is terrible but most people take the food to go. The restaurant is located off of a very busy road. I have only been to two or three places in this area that served terrible Spanish food and unfortunately I would consider this to be one of them.

The food was clearly sitting out on the lines for a long time and looked old. The rice was not fresh, it was dry, and hard. The stewed meats were extremely flavorless and were not covered, which was drying out the meats that were sticking out of the stew. It was obvious they don't rotate the food to prevent this or keep it covered. The empanadas, potato balls, and other appetizers I bought, just to try, were also terrible. They were flavorless and cold. Not even warm. I literally took a couple bites out of everything, left it there, and left to eat elsewhere. I considered giving it a second chance but I don't want to risk spending anymore money, considering how bad everything was the first time. I used to love the restaurant that was there before they took over. Maybe I'll give them a second...

Second time buying food from there. It’s great, however the flan was burnt and it tasted bitter, somehow tasting like alcohol? Weird, but I still ate it because flan is delicious. They didn’t have any mojito available this day :( I love putting/mixing it with my banana. Their rice, pork and fried options are so good. I get steak gravy on top of the rice. So delicious! Will update if anything changes for the worse or it’s even better. The customer service here is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel welcome. Also their tamarindo drink is yummy too!...

Foods amazing and delicious! Bang for the buck soooo good!!!! highly recommend grabbing great Spanish food from this place. Fresh and full of flavor.. straight gem 💎.. im an executive chef that frequents this establishment..I can eat from here 2 to 3 times a week ignoring my diet due to diabetes but it's frickin amazing.. Guaranteed people drive by this place due to location not knowing everything is spectacular here! If I could rate more than 5 stars believe me I would..10/10 ..ten outta ten.. amazingly...
