The type of place where if it were in Boston or New York, the restaurant critic would take great pride in being the first to find it. But, happily, we've got it in Springfield! The meats are exceptionally flavorful and fork-tender -- and plastic fork at that!

The people behind the counter are very helpful, friendly and conversational. You feel glad to support a local business based just on the welcome you receive. And then you eat the food and understand what a distinctively good place this is.

Not a date place. Very bright lighting and no atmosphere to speak of. But it is comfortable and a great respite from the hot outdoors. Bring a book or a newspaper as the overhead lighting leaves no shadows and you won't struggle with your reading.

Can't say whether this is authentic Jordanian cooking -- it's flavors come from the quality of the meats and cooking technique, not spices. But to the American palate, it's highly delectable.

Wasn't sure exactly what we wanted and the young man on the phone had some suggestions. He was so kind. Decided to try takeout here for lunch today and it didn't disappoint!! Husband and I split a lamb Mandi Plate which came with several side sauces that were so tasty! Meat melt in your mouth and the smoked rice was delicious! We also had the Lamb Gyro sandwich. Everything was fresh with outstanding taste! We were extremely impressed and planning on ordering takeout again to try more of the menu! Husband picked up our order and said the same young man served him and was very friendly & kind! He said the place is small (although he didn't notice how many seats) was very clean and the food looked so fresh. I ate so fast, I forgot to take pictures! I'm so glad they're only minutes away!
