It's Greek To Me — Restaurant in Springfield

The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because the food is good. I have been living in Missouri for 7 years and have been looking for a place that serves the gyro meat that is good. The problem I have is the people working there. They are rude and not accommodating, they also dont follow food safety. I pre-order through uber eats and it said the order would be 9 min, it works good for me to pre order while I'm working then I can just stop and pick it up. When I got there to pick up my order they can't find it. Then I look at the uber app and it says they( the store) canceled it.. and of course the old man denied it. He told me I should just order and pay through them at the store, which I didn't mind doing, but they charged me 2 dollars more then if I got it the way I ordered it. While I was waiting for my food, I watched the old man send a food box out to a table then realized he messed up and went and took the food back from the customer and brought it back to the kitchen area. Then I found on my phone where it said they canceled my order and showed him and he still denied canceling my order. Then the cook told the old man, remember when you did that with the tablet that cancels all the orders? And then the cool got upset with the old man cuz he was being disrespectful and didn't listen to him that he's messing everything up... starting blaming stuff around. It was a very unprofessional look for them. I will try one more time, this is already my second review I have left them and it seems the problem keeps getting worse. I would eat here everyday if they could get these issues resolved! But they only have one more chance with me and I won't be back. I'll find somewhere else!!! I provide exceptional customer service with my job and I expect exceptional service when I go out to places. If I don't get it, I won't go back, I feel that's a main part of business. I really want this place to get it together. So the being overcharged and the portion sizes seem to change every time I go there. They need to get it figured out, or they will never retain customers, they will always be screwing the new customer cuz they...

I was having a very stressful day today, so I came inside to cool off and get a drink of water. I stopped at "Its Greek To Me". The woman that was working at the time was absolutely amazing. She tries very hard to receive business. She is persistent with speaking out and getting people's attention to have something to eat in the most respectful manner. I just want to thank God for people like this that are on this earth, bc it gives me hope. I never received her name, the man working said no. Although I am a server and I introduce myself to everyone and I MEAN EVERYONE, my first name. I understand though he was just protecting and keeping a professional demeanor from his perception and I totally understand. although I do anyway I feel offended because there was absolutely no ulterior motives or lack of sincerity. I just simply wanted to compliment. She needs to be in charge, she needs to be running everything! It's Greek To Me, I am letting you know that you will not be disappointed if ever made the decision for her to be in charge. Mark my words. She cares about her business. She takes great pride in it. I totally respect that! Keep up the great work! And your food is absolutely amazing!! I have not ate in almost two days, have hit a rough patch in my life... And I was blessed with a free meal that was phenomenal! God bless...

This place is NOTHING like Greek In The Box.

Went there today thinking it was the same until getting closer and realized it was a new business. Figured I’d give it a try. Instant regret as soon as I ordered.

How is this place charging full sit down prices for a meal. $16 for a combo with extra meat is wild. Let’s not forget they charged me $1 extra for a light dusting of feta. Looked like parm it was so light.

Gyro 8/10 virtually no sauce and they’re using a lettuce salad mix for the topping it appears.

Fries 2/10 overcooked and super small portion.

Tzatziki 7/10 flavor was off and watery.

They were friendly but the cooking hygiene was questionable. There were times they just ignored glove changes.
