Earthbound Trading Co. — Local services in Springfield

The one star is because of their inability to just allow someone to browse without shadowing them and pushing products to upsell. There's not been a time I've went into the store and had products I do not want incessantly pushed on me. I am understanding that it's a part of their job, but to be constantly barraged by multiple sales associates during is an annoyance to say the least. My husband and I have decided against our purchases just because its anything but a relaxing environment to shop in (which is what many of the items they sell are supposed to promote). On that topic, we have yet to meet an associate that is knowledgable on the products they sell; again, I'm not expecting a guru, but to not know a general idea of some of the symbols that are plastered all over the store (om, hamsa, tree of life, green man, siddhartha, chakras, etcetera) disrespects the origins. It's a chain store, not much should be expected of it as it's intent is to profit off of the popular culture of a free spirited, bohemian, spiritual, lifestyle, but still. I came In a few weeks ago with my daughter. We were looking at diffusers and I had a lot of questions to ask. My friends had convinced me I needed to invest in essential oils and a diffuser. I liked the idea of it but I didn’t truly understand how these pricey oils could help me. AMBER from earthbound saved the day. This lady answered all my questions and even showed me their diffuser that they have in the store. She went through the process of adding water, oil and then turning it on and off. The items here are always cute and discounts are good, but I've noticed that everytime I happen to go in this store and don't immediately pick up something to buy I am very obviously followed around, infact the employees aren't even slick, saying things such as (Person A) "Keep an eye on them" (Person B) "Oh I will" while staring straight at me and/or my sisters. Infact they paid so much attention to us that they weren't even really doing there jobs, just standing and staring.
