Thai Hot Pot! 🍲 🫕 🍱
V PV P
**Update included below as the reasoning for adding a star. We were here on 05/31/2022, on a Tuesday evening where the AC was clearly broken. This is likely not their fault, but it does make it hard to eat hotpot on a 90 degree day, even with a handful of fans. Food here is delicious. The ingredients used are very fresh, especially for all you can eat hotpot. The broth and sauces are both very flavorful. The sauce bar is plentiful, and very clean. I recommend both the fish and shrimp wontons! They’re very well done and taste amazing even without a dipping sauce. Moodeng and cheesy porky are awesome, but ask for directions if you don’t know how to eat it. They provide a cart available with most of things you could need at the table by the sauce bar, but don’t really provide you any direction that a sauce bar exists to begin with. I found it on the way to the restroom. The service leaves a lot to be desired. It is difficult to get the attention of any server. When we were seated, it took us a long time to get one’s attention to order. Subsequently, we were not provided eating utensils until after 4 other groups who arrived after us (16 people). Every time we try to get staffs attention, it is hard to get noticed. Somehow though, our water glasses were never empty. As it is recently opened, I suspect service will get better with time. If it stays this way, the dining experience will not compare to other local hotpot establishments of the same price range. **About month later we came back. The creamy tom yum broth is awesome. Just as before, the quality for ingredients remained the same. The service has definitely improved. It is much more consistent in speed and it seems like others in the place are being paid attention to as well. Also, you can make reservations. The AC situation has improved. They installed an AC, but don’t run it nearly enough for the volume of boiling pots going in the dining room. It was still warm in there, so you could see they were still running the same fans. If you’re going, I recommend wearing something breathable and sitting in front of or near a fan. This in particular makes it hard for me to enjoy hot pot, so for me, this is a big miss on the dining experience still. Maybe a better place to visit in the colder months if they don’t turn the heat too high.

My husband and I go to hot pot regularly and have tried places all over the US, but none of them have disappointed us as much as this place did. He had the Jaew Horn Broth and I had the Creamy Tom Yum Broth. The Jaew Horn Broth had a nice spice level to it and was quite favorable. The Creamy Tom Yum Broth wasn't creamy or tasty. It tasted like somebody had dumped half a bottle of fish sauce into it. The ingredients were fresh for the most part. You could tell that a lot of it had been frozen and then thawed or came to the table frozen. The portions were quite small and the meat came cut so thin you could basically see through it and when you tried to pick it up it would tear. The sauce station was stocked well and mostly had spicy sauces on it. I had their Thai Tea and it was delightfully right on spot! Sadly the whole restaurant had a very strong fishy smell to it that assaulted your nose as soon as you walked through the door. Half the time it was all we could do to not be running to the bathroom due to the stench. They had somewhat loud EDM playing which isn't off spot for an Asian restaurant, but it was enough that we had a hard time talking over it. The total ticket came to around $80 plus tip. The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful.

The food quality is good and they have a lot of food items and broth options not available at other hot pots in the area. The bad part is the orders are small portions so you have to keep ordering if you want something specific. Unfortunately for us we placed our second order for food before we started running out and waited and waited for our new food came out but saw others around us were getting food when they ordered after us. We to thought maybe something we ordered took a while to prepare but the waitress finally asked us after about 25 minutes how we were doing and we asked where our food was and she had us order again.. she realizes she made a mistake and brought us the next plate of food out of the kitchen but the guy manager got mad at us and made her give it to another table saying they have to give the food in the order they receive the order. If they ordered 40 minutes ago before us that would have been fine but every other table had gotten three plates of food and we only finished our first and we're without food for the last 30 minutes and they just noticed and had the nerve to get mad at us.. we had already lost our appetite after waiting so long so only ate a small amount of what was brought from the second order. No sorry or discount or anything was offered. We paid over $100 for 2 plates of food we couldn't finish and attitude from a manager wrongfully blaming us for their staffs mistake. Easy to say we're never...
