I catered from them for my wedding. My wedding was at least 40 miles from Springfield. My total for the wedding was $7000 and I paid them $4000 up front and said that I would pay them the remaining after their service. Day of the wedding while I am busy with my guests I was told to pay the remaining balance of $3K. I said that I would pay them in the morning because I didn’t have my phone or wallet with me. They said no problem. The next morning I received a call from the owner stating that I owe them $5k and not 3k because I had too many guests and they had to get more food made and delivered to my venue. I told them that this wasn’t their call to make and that they should’ve spoken to me before ordering more food. They said they were doing me a favor. A favor that cost me 2K. I asked them how they were able to make food so quickly and delivery it 40 miles away just in time because food was served two hours in to the reception and my whole reception was four hours long. For this they didn’t have a response and threatened me that they would take action if I didn’t pay up. I paid them because I have morals and values that they obviously lack. Also many of my guests said that they didn’t get to eat because the waiters they had provided removed the food too quickly. So word of advice pay them upfront for everything, make sure you tell them not to become the boss at your event and start making more food (which they never did in the first place), and to make sure someone is making sure that all the guests get to eat before their provided waiters start to put away the food. We went there tonight to have some Samosa chat however maybe the owner or someone had recommended us that there’s a fresh buffet they’re serving part of New Year’s Day that we should have today so we have decided to have the buffet and have the Samosa chats to go . The buffet had a couple of good items including rice, pudding, and other dessert. The food is OK but again it’s Halal. And again, I will say it’s Halal because Halal is a big thing here as Muslims and as Muslims we do care about eating Halal however when we got the bill, the establishment is so honest and it’s so Halal that the lady who works in the front, don’t know what’s her problem because she has the most fake smile has charged my nine month old for a buffet. Again, the lady has charged my nine month old son in a highchair for a Halal buffet. That is so interesting right that as a Muslim restaurant serving Halal food and this establishment is So honest that they also charge nine month old baby for buffet as well. Mashallah. Well, while we were eating the buffet, We have noticed that lady in the front who has the most nicest and fake smile in the world had moved the rice pudding and left three days old maybe four days old cold carrot halwa. We had to ask for the rice pudding sounding like we are begging for it. I tried to support the local businesses but this one is a nuts one. I ordered chicken Karahi online it said it was $17. I confirmed when I called.
When I got there, they charge me $30 and said that their prices are not accurate, but I had called and asked them. No big deal still paid for my food and left.
Got home and realized the bag had so much oil in it that it leaked into my car. When I got home and opened it, there was an inch of oil dripping out on the bread and it even made my bread soggy. Immediately called and spoke with Ali he said he’s one of the owners and told me he would refund me that day.
I called back two days later and the lady said well You never brought your food back and the owners not here, so I called back today and I spoke with Ali again and he said no you come here and we will give you another round of food instead of refund.
Extremely unprofessional and rude. Never in my life has anyone in the restaurant industry spoke in that manner to their customer
They don’t wear gloves when they’re serving their kitchen is not health and safety standards. Their bathroom is disgusting. There’s no music playing their prices are all over the place. There is no management there is no customer service.
Their buffet they were flys sitting on their food.
