McDonald's — Restaurant in Springfield

This review is not about the food Or anything like that. This review is about how they discriminate against former employees that are eligible for rehire. I go to two different interview interviews. The first interview was a gentleman who claimed he was the general manager, who actually went to school with my brother. I was honest with him told him the truth that I used to work there told him I gave my two weeks notice mind You this was in 2002 yeah 20 years ago and they’re holding that against me or something because the second interview went great as well. It was a different manager. It was actually a shift lead manager. She liked me as well she was ready to send me my information and start the hiring process , I call up there to speak to a third management person whose name was Ashley somehow someway she became the general manager even though the gentleman told me at my first interview he was she put a hold on my hiring process for some reason I never saw this woman, but I believe she has something against me. She claimed I was not eligible for rehire , since I left in 2002 funny thing was two years ago I worked at the one on Hillcrest for about a month but they didn’t give me no hours. Why was it not an issue to them to rehire me. The one under road is a joke I got a complete runaround about getting hired for work in McDonald’s. How hard is it to drop Basket of fries for the customers and keep up on your orders that pop up on the screen as they’re being ordered it’s not hard I have only been doing it since 1995 with restaurant experience but they said I’m not eligible yeah OK probably got more experience than her, probably better in the kitchen than she is but they didn’t hire me. She blocked me from getting the job Corrupt Reason. Good thing I documented everything I’m not mad that I didn’t get the job. I’m mad about how they treated me and how they lied and gave me the runaround and discriminated against me. Like I said, I’m glad I documented everything though trying to talk to a lawyer and see what they say about this, I mean come on it’s McDonald’s it does not take a college degree what more do you want? I have been doing it for over 20 years. I worked there in the past. I gave up my two weeks notice before I left Some woman named Ashley wants to ruin My shot at getting rehired for some reason I think she knows somebody that knows me or something because she didn’t even come out of the office and talk to me in person. She didn’t have the courage to do that. She did it the coward way she called me and told me I wasn’t eligible. Actually she told me she had to find out and then when I called back is when I got the runaround by some young employee, come on it’s McDonald’s it does not take a masters degree to get a job working in the kitchen at McDonald’s. I’m just upset the way they treated me about it or should I say the way Ashley acted about it the mysterious Ashley, who wouldn’t come out of the office and talk to me trying to find out who I can get a hold of as far as the owners are because it’s a franchise I believe but that’s probably a waste of time too. That’s why I’m letting my lawyer handle it. What’s right is right what’s wrong is wrong she was dead wrong and this situation , and if somebody don’t do something about it, she’s going to do that to whoever she wants to. So beware if you want a job at McDonald’s might want to do a different location because Ashley might discriminate against you oh and apparently they have more than one general manager there first it was a man then it became Ashley who told me on the phone she was a general manager and said she couldn’t hire me. She had to find out first yeah OK,...

The truth is, I've never gotten inconsistent service so much from any other restaurant that I finally chose to leave a review. This is now the 2nd review I've given for this McDonald's location.

I don't understand it! So if it's me, please explain and I'll gladly admit my mistake and remove the review. I can attest to the last 3 visits I've made here to purchase a Caramel Frappe, I've received it only once. And I had to pull a stunt just to get the 'one'. It's always the machine is down for maintenance or it's being cleaned. Yet when I ask management at other locations they just shake there head in disbelief. I was told the machine was down at the drive thru attempting to order. I pulled away and waited about 5 mins, and ordered online to pickup the Frappe. Take a guess, my Frappe was perfect & ready when I went through to pick it up! So,,,, Unless the part needed to repair the "broken" machine just arrived, then the machine was repaired & tested, all within 5 mins.....then please explain what I'm missing. The list of excuses goes on at this location. Sadly, I've spoken to several of the team members & leaders at this location and it sounds like they're overwhelmed because they can't get the control they need, to be able to fire & hire a staff that wants to work and get...

I was served a quarterpounder at lunch that was raw in the center. I called and spoke to the manager shortly after and she informed me that I if I would come back she would give me a couple coupons for a free sandwiches and replace the raw one I had and said she would check the temperature before she gave it to me. She apologized and was extremely nice. I told her I was at work and wouldn't be able to come until after 5. I went back at the end of the day and dealt with a different manager who was extremely rude told me that the other manager didn't tell her anything but she would be more than willing to give me a new sandwich I declined that because I have been throwing up since I ate the raw one and when I told her that I didn't want a new one she dismissively informed me that without my raw hamburger she couldn't give me my money back. She informed me that because I didn't keep a raw burger for 5 hours that she couldn't help me I showed her a picture of my raw sandwich and once again she said she couldn't help me. She was extremely rude. I was amazed at how rude she was considering that this was the best McDonald's I have ever eaten at. The service has always been exceptional and the food was really good. I told the manager I wouldn't be back and she shrugged her...
