Misaki 2 — Restaurant in Springfield

The first time I went here with my daughter, to be honest, it was forgettable. I’m glad that I gave it another chance! My friend and I went here tonight and first of all I have to say that the waiter, “Van” (he had to tell me that it is like the vehicle. This guy has charisma oozing out of every pore!) was very young was the cutest most charming server that I have experienced in a long time…. It was so funny because I was just telling my friend that I need a knife and he literally came walking up to the table with a knife and said do you need this? Talk about anticipating our needs! Now let’s talk about the food. This time I got the hibachi with steak and shrimp. Well, I couldn’t eat much because I am definitely not feeling great, what I did taste was delicious. My friend loved her combination steak and shrimp, which was different from mine and she even brought her husband home some food All in all, I will say that I am a foodie and I am fussy. This is definitely worth trying .. I hope if a manager or the owner reads this that they will give van a raise!

My friend and I went back today. Shockingly, even though we were there a couple of weeks ago, Van was once again our server, and immediately greeted us with, “hi Ginger and Stacey!”

The fact that he remembered our names from a couple of weeks ago was mind-bogglingly extraordinary. Not only this but once again he provided us with incredible customer service. I have been to a plethora of restaurants. Not only here in Missouri, but also New York and California. He is one of the best servers I have ever had. Again, I say, give this man VAN a raise!

I got sushi, I believe it was the crunch roll and hibachi steak and...

My wife and I went for lunch during their grand opening weekend. This new Misaki 2 is in the old Mijuri restaurant next to Andy's. We were immediately greeted and sat at a table. We both ordered the hibachi shrimp dinner and two sushi rolls.(eel roll and chef's special roll). Our salads came out almost immediately and were fresh and crisp. The salads were both dressed with the house ginger dressing. Our entrees came out before we finished our salads. The entrees consisted of rice, noodles, grilled vegetables, and of course the shrimp. Seafood sauce was served with the entrees. Shrimp was cooked to perfection and flavorful. The sushi came out shortly afterwards and was also fresh and delicious, some of the best you will find in Springfield. Overall great experience with fast and attentive service, and tasty food. I got a to go order of nigiri and rainbow roll. The fish on top of the rainbow roll looked a bit suspicious and had a very fishy taste. I ended up removing most of it. I eat sushi very very often and usually get it from their other location. I was disappointed to see that this was lower than their usual standard. They also must have changed their soy sauce. It didn't taste right. The rice on the nigiri seemed stale. I'll stick with the original location.. not too happy with the quality of this one. Some fish taste is perfectly normal, but there is a fine line between fishy and old fish also responding to customers honest reviews online in a very negative and rude way is a great way to get yourself shut down if you read through people's reviews, you will notice that whoever they have commenting on reviews...
