Monty's Submarines Sandwiches — Restaurant in Springfield

I went into Monty's to get sandwiches for my wife me. It was the 1st time in about 10 years I'd been in there, so I was a bit unfamiliar with the menu and the ordering process. I was immediately greeted by a bald guy with a goatee taking my order. I ordered my sandwich, and he asked what type of bread I wanted. I didn't immediately see a bread list so I asked what my options were. He remarked that they were on the menu by where it says breads. As if I already saw the list of breads, but just felt like making him recite them to me. I eventually found them on my own and went with the sweet bread. He then asked if I wanted everything on it. I found the list and started telling him what I'd like as I read the options. When I got done he said "So then everything but onions?", in a pretty sarcastic tone. He then said they other guy would check me out. I told him I needed another sandwich too. He visibly scoffed and said "So what you needed was 2 sandwiches." He acted pretty inconvenienced to have to turn around and grab another piece of bread. After working our way through that order too, I paid and left with my food. I gave 2 stars because the sandwiches were good, but the service wasn't. The guy who took my order was very condescending and attempted to make me feel like I was dumb or something because I wasn't familiar with how things work at Monty's. I left pretty angry. He also forgot to put cheese on my wife's sandwich. You'd think someone who is clearly the smartest guy in the room could remember to put cheese on a sandwich. A Delicious Discovery at Monty's! I stopped by Monty's Submarines Sandwiches this afternoon, around 3:24 p.m., and I'm so glad I did. I was in the mood for a classic meatball sub, and the one I had at Monty's was absolutely delicious. The meatballs were tender and flavorful, simmered in a rich, savory sauce and topped with perfectly melted cheese, all served on a fresh, toasted bun. Beyond the fantastic food, I was really impressed with the restaurant itself. The dining area was spotless, which is always a good sign. The staff also stood out for their great customer service – they were friendly, efficient, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. It's not every day you find a place that gets everything right, but Monty's did. From the clean environment to the wonderful staff and, of course, the amazing meatball sub, it was a top-notch experience. I'll definitely be back to try more...

The service was poor, the food order was wrong and both sandwiches ordered to be toasted were burnt. The man working interrupted us while we tried to order, spoke as though we were burdening him and was overall rude to us while we were there. We asked for 2 sandwiches to be half, and he made them whole and charged us for the price of it being a whole, even after we corrected him and said they were supposed yo be half, one sandwich was ordered and on the menu specifies it includes cheddar cheese, except the sandwich we received does not include cheddar cheese.
