If there was a 0 star this place would get it. Honestly, at the start this jeweler was doing well. I walked in and purchased a new band for her wedding ring. When we were doing the paperwork, I noticed my wife's email on the account and said I DIDNT want my wife to receive any notifications from Kay. I watched the employee delete my wife's email and enter my contact information. I explained how important it was that my wife NOT receive anything from the store because this was a surprise for our vow renewal and her 30th bday.
A few days later, my wife text me asking if I purchased something from Kay Jewelers because she received an email thanking her for our business....ARE YOU KIDDING ME. When I called the store, the lady I spoke to happened to be the same lady that worked with me while I was in the store. I explained to her what happened, and she said "dang I'm sorry" and offered to talk to her manager to see how they could make the situation right. She comes back to the phone and says, "there's nothing we can do except apologize" and said I would have to call the corporate office. I told her that their company ruined what would have been an amazing surprise to my wife and I would be following up with their corporate office.
I'm not saying I wanted the band for free but at least offer me something. Upon calling corporate office, it got worse...I called corporate and explained to them the situation and they said they couldn't assist me because every store has the ability to make situations like this right.
I got the run around and they never did anything to even attempt to make the situation better. So you would be better served using Zales, Helzberg, Walmart, ANY OTHER JEWELER. Thanks Kay for ruining my vow renewal and my wife's...
Read moreI ordered a replacement wedding ring for my wife for Valentine's day from their website. I will own I was a little late ordering it (I had planned to get her something else). I put the order in on the 13th. They were offering free next day air and showing an estimated delivery date of the 14th (Valentine's Day). My thought was even if it was a day or two late because of processing or something, no worries. Still a win. The next day I notice it hadn't budged, even though when I put my order number into Kay's tracking, it still showed an estimated delivery date of today. As did the confirmation email they sent to me after I ordered it. I reached out to them on chat to see if it really was going to still show up today, or if it would take a day or two. I was informed it had not shipped yet, and in reality would could take as long as the 24th to ship. When I brought up the delivery date, they passed over it and said basically I should have read the fine print. I am upset because I was flatout lied to and made a purchase based off of that lie. The estimated deliver date was not even possible. It wasn't an oversight, or a mistake. It was bait and switch. That date was shown because its their biggest sales day of the year, and they want to trick you into buying while the getting is good. I CALLED ABOUT 2 OR 3 MORE TIMES ASKING IF IT WAS IN. THEY STATED IT WAS NOT. SO FINALLY ON FEB 28 I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY STATED THAT IS HAD BEEN DELIVERED ON FEB 7TH. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP CALLED AND THE STORE VERIFIED THAT THE RING WAS IN. AFTER THAT I DID NOT CALL THE STORE AGAIN. AND THEY NEVER ONCE CALLED ME TO TELL ME THE RING HAD COME IN AND THEY MADE A MISTAKE. I LOOKED UP THE DELIVERY PROOF AND IT SAYS EXACTLY WHO SIGNED FOR IT. THE EVENING OF FEB 28 I WENT TO PICK IT UP. NOT ONE SINGLE TIME DID THEY APOLOGIZE FOR THE MISTAKE ON THEIR PART. WE HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THERE AND I PAID 561$ FOR HIS WEDDING BAND. THAT MAY NOT BE A LOT TO SOME PEOPLE BUT TO A BLUE COLLAR HARD WORKING FAMILY IT IS. THEY WERE EXTREMELY RELAXED ABOUT THE SITUATION EVEN THOUGH IT WAS CLEAR I WAS UPSET. THIS PURCHASE MEANT A LOT TO ME AND BEING ABLE TO PICK OUT AND PURCHASE A NICE RING FOR MY HUSBAND WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME. THEY MADE ME FEEL AS THOUGH MY PURCHASE DID NOT MATTER.
