The staff was very pleasant. I ordered the Papa's Favorite on the regular crust which is basically a supreme pizza. The pizza looked great! The toppings were generous and even uncooked it smelled wonderful on the ride home.
So the timer goes off and I open my oven to find what appears to be an obscenely gorgeous disc of deliciousness.
The instructions say to let the pizza cool before cutting so I wait, all the while I'm making silent promises to this pizza regarding it's impending destruction.
The recommended time elapses. I take my handy pizza cutter and as I'm rolling it through on the first cut I can hear the golden, crisp crust snapping under the blade of my pizza cutter and it sounds like the promise of an all expenses paid trip to taste heaven.
I hadn't eaten all day. I sit down and as I'm preparing to take my first bite, I'm thinking to myself that I am glad I'm the only one here because no one should have to see the complete and utter depths of savagery I'm about to reach as I annihilate this pizza.
I bite. The mozzarella is gooey and flavorful. The veggies have a pleasing freshness. The crust is crispy (it is a little biscuit-y which wasn't ideal). Then i taste the sauce, suddenly this budding pizza romance is over and we can't even be friends.
To say that the sauce is overly assertive would be an understatement. It was like straight tomato paste which completely ruined the pizza for me. To be fair I can't stand the taste of tomato paste. If you are a person who likes very concentrated tomato flavor you will be happy.
Pros: Generous and quality toppings Flavorful cheese Friendly staff Well packaged and the baking tray produced a crisp crust Cost friendly
Cons: Crust a little cakeish/biscuit-y That sauce. How? Why? I ended up having to eat some of that cheap Ramen due to grossness of that...
Read moreMy 16-year-old daughter ordered a pizza for she and her friends online. When she got there half of the pizza didnât have cheese on it. While it could have been that she made the mistake on the order, the employees were extremely rude and unaccomodating. They told her that they didnât have time to put the cheese on the pizza, told her that she had to get to the back of the line, made her wait for 20 minutes or more and then charged her an additional 1.52. I thought cheese came with pizza? They certainly didnât give her a discount for NOT putting the cheese on the pizza! I wondered why they didnât just put some cheese in a portion cup, give it to her and send her on her way, if they were that busy. When we order from Marcoâs, they actually pick up the phone and call when an order looks odd. Hmmm. My daughter apologized to them and said, âI mustâve gotten confused on the app,â and the employee said, âyeah we get that all the time.â I guess these employees have never heard, âthe customer comes first.â Bad customer service in a simple situation that couldâve been easily remedied. Donât think...
Read moreWe usually order online and our pizza is always waiting for me when I get there. Tonight this location was not accepting online orders so I called it in. When I got there I could see why they werenât taking online orders. There were only two people working, and the place was crowded with customers waiting. Obviously, someone must not have showed up for work. However, I have to mention that one of the workers, a young lady, was amazing. She was a pizza making machine, and she never lost her cool, even with a roomful of people staring impatiently at her making pizzas. It ended up taking quite a while to get our pizza, but this gal was awesome. Whatever sheâs currently making, give...
