Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in St. Charles

My blizzards are pure water because they could not be bothered to fix their mistake(s). I wish I could go lower than 1 star. Ordered 2 Reece’s blizzards and specifically asked for them to be the peanut butter kind (this is genuinely not hard to comprehend.) The girl on the speaker could not understand a thing I was saying, I kept repeating it and then she couldn’t hear the size, I said it louder then she cut me off and said “ok 2 peanut butter cup blizzards pull forward,” with an attitude. I got to the window and clarified with the boy taking my money, that I wanted the peanut butter kind, to which he could not understand, my passenger looked up the name “peanut butter lovers” (again beyond self explanatory, and he said he would change them. We get our blizzards and they were standard vanilla ice cream with peanut butter cups. I called and spoke to the manager who proceeded to cut me off and say she heard me on the speaker saying “peanut butter,” so they assumed I wanted peanut butter cup blizzards, I told her I clarified what I wanted at the window and it was still wrong as I stated I don’t think the girl heard me the first time. The manager again cut me off and said “ok ok just turn around and we’ll make you new ones.” I go back, girl on the speaker cops an attitude again, I get to the window and the same manager I spoke with on the phone (older woman with short gray hair and glasses) opens the window and proceeds to repeat that she only heard me say peanut butter and then proceed to explain to me what the peanut butter lovers blizzards are made of and how to prepare them, that is not what I asked for nor what I was there for. She did not remake any blizzards, she took mine and handed them back rudely and sarcastically saying “here is one blizzard with EXTRA peanut butter, and another with EXTRA peanut butter.” Then when telling her that I understand the girl did not hear what I was saying, I appreciate that the blizzards were remade but I do not appreciate the horrible service, she again proceeds to cut me off and tell me where the speaker is, laugh, and close the window. It is ice cream, I should not have to go through this much hassle because some women were having a bad day. This behavior is unacceptable and absolutely nothing was done to rectify the issue. Instead I was provided with the endless lack of comprehension, short tempered, poor witted responses from the girl at the speaker and the manager. The only Dairy Queen location around that uses the mobile app. You can order here for your mobile app orders none of the other Dairy Queens around allow mobile orders but they usually still will honor the mobile coupons but it's still not guaranteed. This place first of all smells amazing! Lol the ice cream from Dairy Queen is the best around it really doesn't matter which location all of the local ones I've visited are great and this one is no exception the employees are super friendly and the ice cream is always made perfectly and super thick the classic Dairy queen style. The mobile app always sends me notifications with great deals like just yesterday I cashed in a 2 for 3$ small shake they are normally over 3$ just for 1 shake. For my bday they always send me bogo blizzard or 3$ off cake coupons every year. I haven't had the food much but I will update once I give it a try. This location is super busy tho but all the local ones are so just expect that their may be a line and possibly no inside the store access or order pick up right now. But if you order inside pick up or window and not sure just go to drive thru and ask for your order there they don't mind handing it to you at the window but again just expect a wait. But. Girl took our order and then proceeded to sit on facetime with her boyfriend while others stood in line waiting for their order to be taken. After 15 minutes she got off the phone and finally decided to take the 7 other people that were waiting in line. The girl then made all 7 orders that were taken after ours when all we ordered was a mini blizzard and a kids cone. To make everything better 10 minutes into waiting the manager decided to turn off the lights and lock the doors at 8:50 when it said they closed at 9:30. When he locked the door a guy who had already ordered walked out to his car and when he tried to come back in i opened the door for him to which the manager said “if i wanted the door open i would’ve kept it open”.
