Went there yesterday 6/29 and the service was pretty cool. Nice older lady taking orders although it seemed as if she needed a little more training on the register, she was nice nonetheless. Greeted us, smiled, read our order back to us, she even gave a compliment or two.

Now lets get into the food we ordered 2 of the catfish platters it was SWAI not catfish and that is just wrong to charge the price of catfish for super cheap thin none flaky swai! We also ordered the 4 wing chicken platter and the chicken was super light skin and full of feathers! Now if it didn’t have all the feathers it had and was cooked a smidge longer it would’ve been good! All means came with fries that were also undercooked not cold but rather limp! And only about 3 fries had seasoning!

We also ordered the gumbo and the lima beans were extremely burnt on one side (I hate I didn’t get a pic of them! And the gumbo didn’t come with rice and it was $27 which to me for the price point it tasted more like a soup so it was rather disappointing! Then the absolute WORSE THING OF ALL was the gumbo had MULTIPLE pieces of hair in I was so upset that $27 went down the drain! And no I did not mention it to the owners/workers although I should’ve!

We also had 2 strawberry sweet teas ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! Although my daughter liked hers but U switched mine out for lemonade which they were cool about so that was nice..my husband had strawberry lemonade and he liked it… they did not ofer refills on those $7 drinks tho! Last but not least the sauces! I had voodoo something I forget the exact name but it wasn’t great, wasn’t horrible either but it was DEFINITELY better than the hot honey! The hot honey was exactly that HOT (temp wise) honey not a drop of hot sauce was present! Not a drop of hear was present so my daughter just put hers to the side and ate her chicken plain but my husband used his though!… ALL IN ALL my husband didn’t finish his SWAI my daughter had a wing and a half left with almost all of her fries and I had an ENTIRE bowl of gumbo left and just an fyi everything that was left was thrown away!

While they were a but busy the quality for the price could be A LOT better! We spent $112 on chicken and fries trying to support a black owned business just to be let down! So my take on it is TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSE WHERE unless you want fake catfish, just barely done wings, and hair...

My organization had a catered order from this restaurant on 2/10/24. We ordered roughly 80 Po' Boys along with a few other menu items for a large group of high school students. The order was made and paid for within minutes. After the payment was received it was stated a delivery fee of $25 will need to be added to our invoice in addition to our already paid order. The food order was scheduled for 11 am. The person of contact, believed to be one of the owners, stated they were under the impression our delivery time was from 11:30 am. They stated they would have it us in a short amount of time to clear up the confusion. After countless communication attempts from my supervisor as well as myself we did not receive our order until 12:32 pm. The delivery guy automatically stated he was thrown in the position and was not aware of the delivery time and apologized. Once receiving the food, there was no appropriate labeling on the food boxes. We have students with dietary restrictions and having proper food labels would have been greatly appreciated. Also, our food was cold and the presentation was mediocre at best. Students along with their parents left our event hungry and disappointed due to the carelessness, lateness and unprofessionalism from the staff of this establishment. I do believe the order may have been too large to accommodate but was taken anyway which could have resulted in unprofessionalism. Lastly, after failed communication attempts my supervisor was eventually able to communicate with the owner about what occurred, the unfortunate and uncomfortable position we were left with. We were offered a discount on our order. Although the food is known for its delicious taste and southern flare we will not patronize this business due to the challenging position we were faced with due to...

I came here today (7/27) and I was genuinely so disappointed. We had ordered and I got lemonade, and it tasted like mop water and chemicals. Genuinely tasted unsafe to drink. They told me no refunds on anything, but I think there should be an exception when my drink could potentially be poisoning me. They offered me water instead. We got our food after 30 minutes and it was room temperature. They were not busy, it was 2:30 on a Sunday, and it still took a long time. My fathers order was incorrect, and they told him they would remake it (which I do appreciate!) 45 minutes had gone by, and he decided to go up and ask if his food was almost ready, and they had forgotten all about it. Maybe 3 other people had ordered. They gave us a bread pudding as an apology, but there was no sauce in the bread pudding? It was so incredibly dry we just had to throw it away. We spent 75 minutes waiting for cold, small portions that we paid over $70 for, for 3 people. After we had eaten, we saw someone else had ordered the lemonade and asked if they thought it tasted weird. They had agreed and told the restaurant too and they got water as a substitute as well! People had ordered lemonade later, I don’t understand why they would keep selling a faulty product after many people had told them they lemonade was bad. Don’t...

Let me tell you something…if you haven’t had 4 Hens, what are you waiting for?! Don’t let the picture fool you. It looks a bit messy because we been tearing into it. We had “The Big Easy”, “Fried Green Tomatoes”, and “Shrimp and Grits”. Everything was delicious. The Shrimp and Grit I was nervous about because I’m a connoisseur of sorts. It’s my favorite and I must try it everywhere and it did not disappoint. Now, what I didn’t mention is we tried the bread pudding and it had to made by the of the person sitting on the left side of God because it changed my life. Look…I HATED bread pudding before this. It was so good I had to purchase one to take home to eat with ice cream. GET THE BREAD PUDDING!! It was such a great experience. The customer service was great and super friendly. We will definitely be back! Don’t forget to GET THE BREAD PUDDING!!
