Arch Cafe, LLC — Restaurant in St. Louis

What a disgrace this cafe is in such an amazing location, like putting a hot dog stand in the middle of the Louvre. The only vegan option was a veggie burger, so we ordered two with fries, and it was downhill from the first bite. The fries were dried out and hard enough to be part of the Arch’s foundation, the burger patties had a strange aftertaste and unsettling texture, and the buns were soggy like they’d been left out in the Mississippi River.

We paid $36 for two burgers, one side of fries, and one drink. Outrageously overpriced for such poor quality. It’s such a shame because the Gateway Arch facilities are otherwise outstanding. With this prime location and constant stream of international visitors, the cafe could be something special offering fresh, flavorful meals. Instead, it has overpriced greasy amusement park food that leaves you wishing you’d packed...

Wearing a mask dehydrates me, so before the movie and the ride to the top of the Arch, we bought a lemonade. We could have picked a prepackaged beverage (sodas, sports drinks, waters, and more) and even added something to eat, but I just wanted a refreshing drink. The lemonade hit the spot! It was VERY lemony and cold. Delicious.

The restaurant is clean, well lit, and next to the gift shop. It is also across from the theater and entrance to the pods that take you to the top of the Arch. There are plenty of places to sit. Everyone wears a mask and we felt safe. Hand sanitizer stations are everywhere, and the bathrooms are around the corner from the cafe (and at the entrance to...

The ordering system is non existent. They tell it back to the kitchen and it gets sent out. This may be a novelty at some places but when you wait 20 minutes for two burgers while several orders if the same burger goes out before yours is frustrating to say the least. Seating is ALSO a nightmare! Even after you get your food, you then must hover like a vulture to claim a spot before someone else swoops in. During our visit there where several tables of people who where done eating that did not leave the area, but simply waited for their ticket time to come up. @cafearch please get a better more manageable ordering system to better serve...
