Great experience! We met the owner, Kevin, at his Brennan’s location by chance. The bar was closed for an event and he escorted us to the Maryland house bar. We had ‘all carrot, no stick’ and ‘Back to Kyoto’ cocktails. They were amazing. The bartender, John, was friendly and professional. ‘All carrot, no stick was my favorite drink of the night. The Maryland house bar is a hidden gem tucked between Edera Italian restaurant and suitsupply. The entrance is between the buildings leading to a beautiful artsy open area. There’s a green door to a business with an elevator to the 3rd floor. It is reservation only. We set our reservations so we can come back and have the full dine in experience. The venue is stunning but more importantly the cocktails are quality. 10/10.

If you need a cocktail, good vibes, great food, and amazing staff - come to Maryland House! Every experience has been a treat at MH. They’ve been lovely hosts to my boyfriend’s surprise birthday party, they have unreal deals for drinks and parties, and the snacks are always on point. While I personally can’t consume spicier food and drink, I love that they have such a unique offering on their menu. My personal favorites are the Bruce Lee One Inch Punch and the Stay At Bar Mom! Thanks for a fabulous time, every time :) P.S. - this is the sister spot to Brennan’s which is another fabulous spot in the Central West End.

Private club in nondescript location. The lobby looks like an office but there is a sign that says "This is NOT an office. Up to the 3rd floor that opens into a bar. There's indoor (tables, bar and couches) and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is a beautiful view of the CWE. I enjoyed the Black Garlic &balsamic Pizza. I remember the name of my cocktail but it contained butterfly pea, lavender, honey and gin. Both items were delicious!

An amazing venue with unfortunate service that really took away from hosting an event at this space. I had an event on graduation 2024, and began booking this space at the end of February. The communication in the interim from Maryland House was lackluster to say the best.

Notable events in the interim include calling the venue and being asked if my event was held on a different day, at a different location than we had booked.

The most unfortunate event occurred a week before my event. We were told that the spaces that we had spoken about since late February (a studio lounge and half a terrace) was not what would be utilized during the event.

When we were at Maryland Place during the event, it came to my understanding that another individual at my school booked the terrace a week before graduation, and this was why we were told we could not use the space as promised.

Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed that, over a reservation that began in February, my plans were cancelled a week before my event was supposed to occur.

The food and drinks were phenomenal, the atmosphere of the space is gorgeous.

However, venue-renter be warned, for my event was altered at last minute, with no warnings, in favor of a higher bidder.

Extremely disappointed in that side of customer service for Maryland House, it is a stark foil to their wonderful vibe, food, drinks, and space. The atmosphere cultivated at the venue is electric, and the space, as Brennan’s is as well, is gorgeous. The food was delicious, and drinks...

(visited August 2023) A friend recommended this spot, and we visited without a reservation on Friday evening. Maryland House is a new expansion of Brennan's down the street. As many have mentioned, the entrance is nondescript. Once you walk into the alley where the outdoors Italian restaurant is, look to your left, and there's an office-looking room. That's the entrance to the elevator for the bar. The space is huge and lively. It was definitely rowdy (not surprising for Friday evening), and we were able to snatch 4 bar seats. I unfortunately have to give the bar lower stars because my drink, which had a nori (seaweed) component, had a piece of nori that was inedible. I was not sure if it was an edible piece, so I took a bite, and had to immediately run to the bathroom to spit it out. It ruined my appetite after--which was a shame, because in my recollection, the drink itself was pretty good. Everyone's drinks were good, and I would not be opposed to coming back. But I hope they will update...

I look forward to having my birthday party tomorrow in the Gallery with 50 people. I have been communicating with the Maryland House to reserve the Gallery and the hors d'oeuvres for a month now. I am excited to see how my guests will like the Gallery. I am still waiting for the Maryland House to answer some questions, but I hope they will get back to me before my event. I will update you on how my experience was! I am giving three starts as a neutral rating for now!

After the event:

The lady staff made me feel special - I give a 10/10 to the lady staff! I reserved the Gallery for my birthday party and was expected between 33 and 55 people (I know, big range).Jacq was very helpful and we had our own bar for the event. My guests liked the food and the drinks. I brought my own cake and the waiters helped us. We had a lot of fun. I have to contact the Maryland House because some of my guest were charged more than we expected. Overall, I had a...
