Slow and bad service with a rude manager and a waiter unable to communicate they were running late. We wait for our food for 55 minutes without any word from the waiter who got surprised when finally he realized we hadn’t been served. We tried to talk with the manager who answered that she couldn’t do nothing because they were short handed and all customers know it takes one hour before the food is ready, what is not true. Even tough, we deserved a notice about it when we arrived. We have been there many times without facing this poor treatment before. How come this people are in business? Why it’s so difficult to inform us when we arrived the food would take one hour to be served, as it is the normal routine at the restaurant according to the manager? Poor staff communication skills for a food that is not so great. The only thing that come to the table was the burned and oiled guiozas. And the manager told me that she didn’t care if I would write them a bad review. So here it is. By the way, we witnessed that even the table cleaning is badly done using a dirty wet cloth without any cleaning product, even now during the Covid pandemic. Moreover, they handle the trash bags inside of the restaurant, in front of the tables and cashier....
Read moreI went here for lunch. They have a separate lunch menu. We ordered a bento box and a spicy roll combination of 18 pieces. It is filling for two people. The combo comes with miso soup as well. The prices were on the higher side for lunch prices but it was a good meal. The location is closer to downtown , maybe that's the reason. The ambience was relaxed and calm. The decor was a simple Japanese theme of small potter plants on the windows , ceramic pots and statues. They have an assorted selection of sake as well. The only downside was our waitress was in a rush to end her shift at 2:30 pm so she came in between our meal to give us our bill. We had to pay in between the meals which was a bit annoying. But i would recommend this place for some good...
Read moreA Japanese American restaurant that reminds me of the era where no Japanese restaurants existed in the USA. The nigiri/sashimi offerings are typical of any American sushi place throughout the United States. Nothing too adventurous but caters to the general demographic. Rolls and the holy trinity (tuna, salmon, and yellowtail) are served in abundance. Staff are friendly but sometimes neglectful when restaurant is at capacity. The fish at the sushi bar seems to be handled roughly and piled on each other (sorta a turn off). But with a lack of Japanese restaurants, this place seems to be the only one in town. The other sushi establishments in town are...
