Hudson Social CT — Restaurant in Stamford

I honestly don't even know if I should start with the food or service because both were awful. Historically, we order takeout from Hudson Social and it was always good. The only thing I never really loved were the prices but we liked the food so we would get it.

Today we sat down for brunch and it was beyond terrible. The service was none existent and we were never introduced to our waiter. Drinks were never refreshed and the tables were filthy. Not to mention that the servers/bussers place clean plates upside down on dirty tables. Pretty sure any food inspector wouldn't like that. Overall, service was non-existent.

The food was not good. Bland and small servings for what we were paying. We had to ask for silverware and wait for condiments to be brought to the table.

I wish we complained while there but I'm not one to make any sort of scene. Plus we had our child so we just wanted to leave. After today, I probably will not be returning for takeout or dining in.

Just spent over 2 hours to have a brunch off of the limited menu for large groups. For a group of ~20 guests, one waitress and one bus type helper isn't appropriate. We waited over an hour for soup and salad! No choices on either, just portion up however many of each and out they go. The clam chowder was a slightly watery take off a New England style, but taste was pretty good. Then came the bread. Yeah, wrong order, and it was cold. Next was the main course, of which almost everyone had a complaint. Serving sizes varied greatly based on what you ordered, a big burger, a small omelet, a half empty plate with eggs Benedict on it and a big portion of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. Everyone complained of salty potatoes regardless of how they were made. The burgers I saw looked grey colored on the outside. The French Toast looked to have been made from Wonder Bread. Them came the dessert. The tiramasu was boozy, however the molten chocolate cake was quite good.

To put this in perspective, the service was so slow that we saw the Man U vs Chelsea game from stay to finish. For a brunch.

If you don't want to have a headache and overcharge in your orders DO NOT GO IN THIS PLACE. I had a terrible experience there, first time partying after covid I choose this place to have fun. I went in the bar to order 2 beers and 1 drink and they charge $42 dollars. The beer was $7 each and the drink was $14 the total was supposed to be $28. I spoke with the bar tender and asked for a detailed receipt he didn't give me anything. I went again in the bar and spoke with a girl was also a bartender, explained all situation to her and she was SO RUDE with me. I did another order and with her, she charged me $35 dollars for a drink what costed $15 and one beer $7. Total was supposed to be $22. I spoke with a manager and he was nice with me and refund me the $35. Anyways the situation wasn't nice, I didn't enjoy my night, was frustrated.
