Update: so I went back a second time and the results are still very mixed. Although the chocolate flavor is a little bit stronger than before, there is a tremendous amount of undissolved powdered chocolate product in the shake. Every sip contains large quantities of this chocolate powder pieces. I took a picture to post but there's no way to share. For $8 a shake I would have expected it to be better. Once again very disappointed and now I will downrate it to one star.
Meh. I opted for a straight up chocolate shake to see what the products are really all about after they told me they don't do coffee or black and white milkshakes. I was extremely disappointed the chocolate shake. The quantity was okay for the price and the thickness of the shake was good, but the overall quality was seriously lacking. The ice cream base they used for the shake had bits of ice in it, and it also seemed to have little pieces of some sort of chocolate material that were firm. These small grain shaped pieces didn't appear to be real chocolate. The overall chocolate flavor was weak at best. After waiting months for the place to open, it was real disappointment. As someone who enjoys milkshakes, I think I'll stick to...
Read moreI recently celebrated my birthday so stopped by for my birthday reward - a free shake. This was my first time visiting and I usually don’t do milkshakes outside of the summer months but now I have a reason to make an exception. When I walked in I was greeted by a full case of chocolate barks and chocolate treats. They were all so beautiful and the woman who worked there was offering samples, but I was there for the shake. I ordered the chocolate dipped strawberry shake which was topped with a chocolate covered strawberry, made fresh in house. OMG I think this is the best shake I’ve ever had. The ingredients (chocolate sauce, chips, ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream) were all fresh and high quality. I also appreciated that they use wide straws so that the mix-in’s from the shake don’t get clogged in the straw. This shake was soooo good and I will be...
Read moreFinally tried The Milkshake Factory in Stamford and immediately wrote this review based on how strongly my initial visit stood out. My mint chip shake was light, creamy, and actually drinkable (none of that heavy, syrupy stuff like Cold Stone). My husband loved his too. The chocolate was sampled and I can confirm it’s very high quality. The staff were kind and patient while we stood there overthinking the menu, and the place was spotless. Also I want to note my milkshake cost less than my Starbucks coffee from the same plaza… and was infinitely more worth it. I’d definitely recommend stopping in the next time...
