Got steak tacos, shrimp tacos, a salmon taco bowl, and churros. The salmon bowl was great. The tacos were good - they keep them minimal here but I enjoyed the flavor. It didn’t need all the extras. I was surprised the shrimp on the tacos were fried, and I would’ve preferred they weren’t, but that’s how they do them here I guess and they were fine. The tacos start at about $10 for 2, which is high compared to other places around. Also from what I could tell you can’t just order one taco of steak, for example, and get a variety to try a bunch. It has to be two at a time. The inside is themed really well. I love the custom neon signs and the menu behind the bar. They had plenty of friendly, helpful staff. We placed an order online for takeout and when we arrived the food was ready on time. We have a lot of great taco spots around Stamford, but these were the best I’ve tried in the northern part of Stamford near the Merritt. Lastly, the Churros were the best I’ve ever had! They are a must try if you’re into Churros. I’m not even into them like that, but we had some in Little Havana in Florida a month ago and these blew them away. Overall, I’d say try this place out! I’ll be back for sure.

Updated review: Tried them again after someone recommended their crunchy taco bowls. The bowls are excellent, highly recommend. The bowls are crunchy and thin, totally different method that those giant puffy fried flour tortilla bowls that go soggy in 2 minutes. Had been looking forward to trying this place, but it was disappointing. Ordered a variety of tacos to give a fair sampling: chicken, shrimp, salmon, fish. Ratings by taco: Chicken 6/10, Salmon 6/10, Shrimp 5/10, Fish 1/10. The chicken and salmon tacos were ok, had some richness from a zesty mayo. Shrimp had potential, I liked the toppings, but they were overcooked to the point of being rubbery. The fish was not good at all, I only ate a bite. Even more overcooked than shrimp, not flavorful, and ruined by the purple slaw. The slaw was too watery and soaked the tortilla and fish with cold purple juice, which aside from tasting bad also made the fish appear grey and unappetizing. Didn't care for the style of corn tortillas they used, it's those leathery ones like they sell at whole foods in the freezer. Pretty expensive as well, didn't live up to my hope or the price.

Came in and noticed cool decor. Left sad that service and food did not meet expectations. Unclear whether you sit and order, or you order and they bring your food. Signage would help. Needs better process to bring food to tables to avoid server yelling out names hoping someone raises their hand. How about numbers on tables? Tacos with chicken was good, a tad skimpy, but cold. Also taco itself is greasy. Shrimp burrito bowl was fair in terms of taste, but not flavorful. Having salsa to put on it would help (like Chipotle). The food is placed in a fried “bowl” which is then placed in a ceramic bowl - that makes it hard to eat as the fried bowl wobbles in the ceramic bowl. Also a burrito bowl should not come with an extra fried bowl- should be only the burrito filling - odd. Also shrimp was fried with no mention of that on menu. People want to know that. Not cool to add 300 calories to a dish because it’s fried. May try again once more and hope this neighborhood place addresses these types of issues and succeeds.
