We cannot recommend Mama K Catering enough—they were a dream to work with and made our wedding weekend complete.
From the very first tasting, Athena made us feel cared for. She listened with such attention, made thoughtful adjustments with ease, and guided us through every detail with patience and expertise (even helping us figure out rentals when we had no idea where to start).
The food itself was beyond incredible. Every dish was presented beautifully, and somehow—despite being cooked in a makeshift outdoor kitchen—everything came out hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Our guests were absolutely floored. People are still raving about the chicken cutlets, meatballs, vodka pasta, steak sliders, and that famous cheesecake.
Pulling off a 150-person wedding at a rustic summer camp with no working kitchen is no easy feat, but Athena and her team handled it effortlessly. They didn’t just deliver amazing food—they created an experience that felt warm, joyful, and seamless.

Read moreThey had very few menu options. Menu displayed on baking paper on the front counter, all 4 were very fancy chef creations but no regular Italian menu. 3 or 4 salad selections, 3 or 4 entries, and a whole list of wine. We didn't eat my sister is picky and said she would rather go to cheddars. When trying to leave the small confusing parking lot, I had backed out and a dark hair young woman pulled down and refused to pull in a spot. I was backed all the way up the stairs and couldn't go nowhere and she just inched closer and mouthed I'm not moving. Took every ounce of strength to not get out and confront the over privileged and very dumb woman. I was in a spark, and backed up against concrete because she didn't want to park in the spot in front of her. Even temporarily so I could get out of the lot. I won't be back to momma k's. With the complicated parking, the 4 dish menu, and the attitude of the customer in the lot I ranked it a lot lower than the actual food probably taste but never made...
Read moreAtmosphere- 4 stars- small but modern with an open kitchen. Very clean. Only a few tables however some of the seating are comfy benches with lots of pillows. I would suggest better signage for the street view.
Service- 4 stars- Very friendly and helpful. Not sure if the lady helping us was the owner or not but it kinda seemed liked she was. Very excited about their menu and made several recommendations.
Food- 3 stars- This is only my opinion but I think when dealing with Italian food especially in this area it’s hard to impress. Many of us grew up in families that Italian was a staple of our menu so we have grown accustomed to a certain style or flavor. With that said the food here is made with fresh ingredients and there are some interesting choices. The meatballs were pretty good. I had the spaghetti/rigitoni combo and we had the fusilli vodka pasta. Both were decent. I would suggest giving Mama K’s a try. They are a local restaurant and are doing their best. You may...
