I loved doggies until they kicked me out for absolutely no reason. I had two drinks there (with none previously) and was kicked out due to my “stumbling” while searching for a friend. There were others who were clearly more intoxicated than I was. He gave me no other reason than he had been watching me, which is not true cause it had been the first I saw that specific security person. Upon telling him I am autistic and never walk straight, he disagreed. I then told him he’s discriminating and he further disagreed. I have never walked normally in my life due to autism, and with the place being busy, I was constantly being bumped into and often lost my balance because of that. Finally, I told him a friend was in the bathroom and needed to get her before I left and he, with another security man, FOLLOWED ME to the WOMENS bathroom and WATCHED ME while I ensured my friends were okay and leaving with me. He ensured he watched me the entire time, even in the women’s bathroom, which is also an invasion of my and others’ privacy. A friend of mine even expressed their discomfort by their watching of me. They chose me at random to kick out then chose to discriminate when they realized they were, in fact, in the wrong. It is not okay for male employees to be looking into the women’s restroom, whether the door is propped open or not, to watch a female guest, regardless of whether she needs to be leaving or not. The security are on a power trip and love to...
Read moreAbout two years ago, I went to this pub with some friends. The night was completely uneventful—no issues, no drama. Yet a week later, when I returned, I was suddenly denied entry for allegedly displaying “inappropriate behavior”—an accusation that mysteriously surfaced after the fact.
It wasn’t hard to guess the real reason: likely a few acquaintances of one of the managers, who simply didn’t like my presence, stirred up drama. I spoke with the manager, explained my side, and was told the matter would be reviewed—and that, at worst, the ban would be lifted within a month.
I’m not someone who goes to bars often. In fact, I haven’t returned to that place in two years and have only occasionally visited other pubs during that time. But when a friend recently suggested meeting there, I figured enough time had passed and gave it another shot. Once again, I was turned away—this time by a security guard who could barely remember what the original incident was even about.
I’ll be in this town for just about one more year to complete my doctorate, but I’ve decided never to set foot in that place again. The irony? People who’ve likely seen—and tolerated—far worse behavior are treating me like the problem. And the ones making that call? Let’s just say they don’t exactly measure up in terms of education, professionalism, or even a clean...
Read moreI would reccomend avoiding this bar. very cramped place. Kinda going for the dive bar look on the inside but the outside was nice at least. Bartender and the guy checking ID's were very nice but I was thrown out by security for being visibly intoxicated when I had just finished my first drink. Unsure if they mistook me for someone else or if they were just trying to keep the "ratio" right. Claimed they watched me stumble outside about an hour before and that I was leaning on the wall. There where no seats available and my group where all by the wall so I guess I was intended to stand in the middle of walkway and block people. I was told i could not finish the drink i had just bought but there was no point in fighting him on it. In addition i was told that he was very rude to my group when they questioned him on it. Unfortunately that cost them the business of about 13 people but im sure thats a drop in the bucket with how crowded the place was. Ive worked in bar security so im wary of people claiming that they where thrown out for no reason but thats what happened in my case and it seems to be a common complaint looking through the 1 star reviews. If your looking to throw your money away for some alcohol I would say there are better places to do...
