Cafe Wow — Restaurant in State College

My favorite place for bubble tea in State College. They make their milk tea so that it's a nice texture, yet the cream doesn't smother the flavor of the tea. And the quality is really consistent. The one missing star is because they frequently close shop unexpectedly. There have been many times when I wanted to get bubble tea with friends or family and we walked up to their door, only to find that they were closed for the day without explanation. But their tea is so good that I can't stay mad at them. Just find another day to go again... Café Wow allows you to change the amount of sugar added, which is great if you prefer less sweet drinks. Inconsistent bubble tea quality. Sometimes the bubble tea is good, but recently the bubbles are just not chewy enough. What makes my impression of them worse is that for multiple visits, the lady at the counter is always on her phone even when I’m asking questions; absolutely no eye contact. This is a really cute little shop. The atmosphere was nice, they had free WiFi and plug ins for laptops. I ordered the Jasmine milk tea, which was excellent. My only complaint is that the boba was a little too chewy, but this is also State College, PA, so I can't complain that much. Overall, I would come back and just skip the boba.
