McDonald's — Restaurant in Statesville

I go to this McDonald's practically every night 99% of time. I'm usually get there sometime between 7:30pm 9:00pm & stay there till 10-11 pm. I know almost everyone's name and they certainly know my name polite and they always call me "Mr Jerry" or Jerry. I don't know too many of the opening or morning managers or crew members unless they work night shifts also but I can tell you the night shift teams work harder than anybody I've seen in a long time! One of my favorite Managers, (4give me, I love all 3 that is there often when, I there. I generally do not like to SPECIFY favorites, but one of my favorites,, Ms.Armer, leads by example--this personable woman Works her butt off to make sure the guests are served in the QUICKEST, Most Efficient, Accurate & Friendliest way possible as well as making any errors in orders are Corrected promptly. Drive through is probably the majority of McDonald's business probably through the drive-thru but they also have very busy times in the inside dining room, and this is when the teams have to really work hard & multitask because sometimes they have more than one responsibilities they're serving they're helping people at the register or with the kiosk ordering their food or at the windows or taking food out to cars at the curbside or they responsible for cleaning in the dining room and cleaning up behind guest and making sure everything is stocked and ready to go including Cups, straws Etc. The teams work very well together. My favorite is because I met her first when I first came to Statesville and that is Ms Armer; but like I like the others I have gotten 2 know, Ms Aurelia, & Mr Daniel. Everyone is good or great that works at McDonald's that I have met on the night shift or later shifts / closing shifts especially the front people the windows people the people who work in the kitchen and get the food prepared and cooked and finished and wrapped and sent to the people in the front to bring them to our table or call out our name or prepare doordash or other delivery services, as well as the other services such as curbside service mobile orders and just drive through Windows services. I'm really sorry I would love to name every employee that has meant the world to me because they inspire me and give me hope and they lift my spirits because sometimes I come in quite defeated by a very lonely or depressed or anxious because I don't have anyone living near that I know or that I have regular contact with and my family is at least an hour and 45 minutes away. This is also the first time and perhaps the whole time I've been an adult that I've lived alone and haven't had roommates or family to live with and that's very hard on me as well so these people really do lifts my spirits by giving me big greetings and smiles and chat with me as quickly as they can and always say hello and good night and things like that and they're great people and it's a good place to eat it's a comfortable place people come and go quickly usually and that's good that's the way it's supposed to be, I'm somewhat of an exception because I stay and encourage the employees as well the staff and I also occasionally help them pick up some trash or throw away some items or help do anything I can to help them get the place cleaner or quicker so that they can leave on time because many of the workers are in high school or college and they need to be off by a certain time to get home and do their homework and get ready for school the next day which is remarkable because they do such hard work and they work a good number of hours considering they've got to go to school as well. And I might add I miss my friends at McDonald's at the Cleveland Mall in Shelby as well as the Gastonia locations of McDonald's Cherryville, Lincolnton, McDonald's is My kind of place; where you can have a smile and a good meal it reminds me of the TV show Cheers where you can have a place to go that everybody...

They had us put in our order ourself on screens just to re-ring it item for item at counter. Just a waste of time all cuz that's how they do it if your paying cash. I'm thinking what's the point y not have a worker take our order from the get go instead of re-ringing it. It takes u about 10 mins to ring up orders for 4 people by the time u put in order yourself then wait 15 mins to wait on worker to come ring your order back up u done spent 20 to 30 mins just to get your order in. Then you will wait another 15 to 20 mins just to get your order. Then it's wrong so u take it BK up there by the time they remake it 10 mins later just to find out your order still wrong take it back up 10 mins later u get your food once again by then fries are cold. then u sit down to find out it's still wrong so then u take sandwich and fries BK to tell them it's still wrong and that u want fresh fries cuz it s been 30 mins now and yet u sit down a 3rd time and still wrong. I waited almost 30 mins to even get my order an 20 mins to receive my food just to take it BK 3 times which is another 30mins and they still get it wrong and they giving u attitude cuz u ask for fresh fries cuz they done sat for over 30 mins to remake my food 3 times so i just spent almost 2 hrs there just ordering and waiting on them to make my food right and still wasn't right so u say forget it im over it and tired of the attitude and poor customer service. I wasn't the only one who had a problem either all the customers waiting on them said it's ridiculous and it truly is. They will literally stand there and look at u standing there for 20 mins not doing nothing on they phones talking amongst each other and not even wait on customers until u ask if someone can help I'll never go bk ever again pathetic customer service and poor timing in taken care...

There is a continued issue with this McDonald's. We used to do curbside orders but that got to be unbearable. We would literally sit and wait for our order for 25+ minutes. This was an every time issue. To the point were we said we would no longer use curbside. So we have started doing the drive thru. Now when we go through the drive through they leave something out of our order every single time and I have to go into the store to retrieve my missing items. Which brings me up to today. We go through the drive thru today May 1st, 2024 at 6:00pm. This location has two lanes. They took the order of 3 cars that came after us before they came over to our box to take our order. Then we get to the window, We ordered 2 large fries, 1 regular McDouble, 1 plain McDouble, 1 McChicken and a 20 piece nugget. They didn't put in the regular McDouble. So, per usual, I had to go inside to get my missing item. When I went into the store, I told them about my missing item, where the manager said out loud, to the other staff, TWICE, "I told you I needed that regular McDouble". If you knew you needed it, why did you send the order out. I feel you should have a little more integrity about doing a job. I do not care if you work at McDonald's or build rocket ships to go to space, you should have some pride in yourself and doing your job. I felt as if the manager was trying to pawn the issue off on the other staff, but she knew she needed the sandwich, she voiced that twice, yet she chose to send the order out anyway. Now we are to the point that if we ever come to this location again, we will just go inside the restaurant to place our order, because I have to go...
