I don't like to write negative reviews. I prefer to spend my time in positivity. If I use a product or service that I dislike, I keep my mouth shut and simply don't return. That being said, I feel compelled to state how much I disliked my experience with Crumbl Cookies.
I was looking for a unique birthday gift for a family member. After seeing Crumbl advertised on social media, I decided to give them a try. I walked into the store and was greeted by absolutely no one. There were plenty of employees shuffling around conversing with one another, but not one person even looked my way. After a moment, I found the menu and decided on a six pack for the gift and, since I'm a dessert-aholic, also a cookie for myself. I was surprised to find only six flavors to choose from. I get that they rotate flavors weekly and I wasn't expecting a Baskin-Robbins 31 flavors, but only six flavors seemed surprisingly limited. Also a couple of the choices seemed less cookie and more cheesecake.
Anyway, after waiting a bit to be served, I understood that I was to place my order myself through a kiosk system. I still did not have one employee even acknowledge that I was there. I put my order in and was shocked that their system prompted me to add a tip. A TIP TO WHOM!? MYSELF!? I reluctantly and stupidly added a tip. Habit I guess, since I work in the service industry myself. After a few minutes passed, my name was called and I was handed two boxes. That was the extent of the customer service. My name was yelled out and boxes were thrust at me.
So the service was terrible, but maybe the product would make up for it. I opted for the Strawberry Cake cookie. I love strawberry, I love pink, and I wanted something more than a simple chocolate chip that I can get baked fresh daily at any Speedway gas station. Almost five bucks a cookie is steep, but I was hoping it was worth it. It was not worth it. I was an okay cookie at best. The topping was so disgustingly sweet that I just could not finish it. Know this: I LOVE SWEETS! I once ate 13 paczki doughnuts in less than 24 hours, but this one cookie was more than I could humanly handle in one day. There was very little flavor or nuance, it was just sugar, on top of sugar, on top of sugar.
It was an unpleasant experience from service to product. I feel like this is the future of businesses. Instead of creating a quality product or service, it's all about creating branding and marketing with nothing at all to back it up. I don't see me ever returning to Crumbl or even recommending it to anyone. Instead I think I'll just stick to Speedway, where the cookies are fresh, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is...
Read moreThe cookies are very good!! The service on the other hand 🥴. I noticed that the workers were very happy to be working there. I went on a day they were offering a special six pack for a four pack price. The store was tore down I went around 4:30 p.m. September the 25th. Most definitely would recommend to order beforehand. The store can only hold approximately 10 people comfortably. It was over 40 people in and out of the store. The POS system broke down for some reason they prefer you to make kiosk orders and pay with your card. When I informed them that something wasn't working properly they just told me it was a system glitch a ghost charge as the manager said. Well they didn't inform everyone in the store that they were only taking cash this was just chaotic. They did not put out of order signs on the kiosk machine. So when new customers arrive the customers that were already there had some form them of what was going on the manager was in the back doing nothing he could have came out and directed The people in the store that were unsure of what was going on and what was the process. Once again I love the cookies!!! But I don't think it's...
Read morehad an interesting and pretty off-putting experience at this location tonight. while waiting for my order, i watched a small child running around in the back. he was being supervised, but he was placing his hands all over the prep areas and touching some of the boxes used for serving the cookies. mind you, we saw this same child picking his nose. no attempts were made by the adult supervising him to keep him from touching anything. in addition, we watched an employee touching cookies with her bare hands. my friends and i were a little shocked to watch her pick up a cookie, wipe off some excess topping with a random napkin, and place the cookie back inside the serving box. she also touched her personal belongings (keys) between touching the cookies with her bare hands (did not wash her hands prior to handling the product). pretty gross. overall, i feel as that the products were not being properly handled according to food service regulations by most of the employees. i’ve lost my desire to return to this location, and i hope that the employees take more care to prepare things according to food...
