Arrived at 5:55 for 6:00pm reservation on 6:3:24. My wife and I took our grandkids ages 6 & 10. Was seated at 6:15.
1st the negatives: With the exhaust blower noise accompanied by everyone talking in the restaurant, accompanied by the waitress taking your order from the opposite side of the grill (At least 5’ away) nobody could hear her. Everyone was saying what? Excuse me? Etc.. She should’ve walked around next to each person. There were three different families that all had the same issue. When I asked for two appetizers and she asked me something about them I believe twice, I finally said “forget it, that’s all right” because I couldn’t hear a word she said. This was irritating and plus I was looking forward to the appetizers…
The good: Everything else! Drinks, salad and soup came quick. Our Chef arrived at table about 6:45 (a little longer than we expected as everyone including the other two party’s were getting anxious). Presentation was great and the kids loved it. Food was plentiful for the price we paid, $120 with two alcohol drinks and two pops. This included two hibachi chicken & rice meals for the kids. The food was all tasty. Example, I ordered filet mignon/chicken combo and received plenty of filet and chicken along with a ton of fried rice, Japanese noodles, two pieces of shrimp and vegetables. Everybody pretty much received all these extras with their meal. My wife and I have enough leftovers for a full dinner tomorrow as do my grandkids. The other parties also had extras that they took home. This is one of my favorite places and will definitely be back, maybe with a miracle ear or my order written down prior. Also, you can either sit in a booth and order from the menu or specify that you’d like to sit at the grill so don’t assume that you will sit at the hibachi Grill when you make a reservation. This is a larger place, larger than I’ve ever seen compared to other Japanese steakhouses. Overall, they were very busy and did a great job accommodating everyone in a...
Read moreFood: I have a shellfish allergy. The staff had no clue how to handle that. They cooked my food on top of shrimp and scallops. If I didn't catch it myself, I probably would have ended up in the hospital. As for quality, the salad was drenched in water. They could have at least shook it out after rinsing it. The salmon and steak hibachi were average. The soup was bland and lifeless. The drinkware omg the drinkware was dirty and soooo many water spots left on it. Also I ordered an old fashioned while waiting at the bar, for those who knows it should come out looking like whiskey which is the base, nope it was completely clear, she basically gave me water and thought it was ok. Service: Every waitress/waiter has fear and chaos all over their face, and you can clearly sense the disfunction. Atmosphere, every wall has a clearly visible deformity that was poorly patched, and the feel of the restaurant is lifeless and cheap.
I will not be going back. They are plenty of better option in a 2 mile radius.
Pss, the bar is poorly designed, like it was an...
Read moreI went for lunch. They changed my day. I couldn't be happier. 5 stars! I have been there about 10 times now and it is progressively getting worse.
Edit: today for lunch I had the complete opposite experience. I went expecting the normal service... it was horrible in comparison (i'm guessing everyone was new or something) ... and they charged me 40 dollars more than usual. The person next to me also was over charged.. they fixed it for them.. I didn't complain and just paid my bill. I just leave it in the reviews and do not go back. I would have given another chance but its hibachi... one massive overcharge is just too many ... period.. 4 people with Regular lunch specials should have been 80 with drinks 90. Then tip brings it to 110 To 120. Instead they delivered a 120 dollar bill. No tip, bad review, lost customer... and the hibachi guy was new.. no energy and knife was so dull it wouldnt cut the meet, he had to mash it apart with his spatula.. it was...
