On August 11th, around 5:46 PM, I visited your Chipotle located at 22000 Dulles Retail Plaza, Ashburn, VA to purchase dinner. I was greeted by an employee who initially seemed pleasant. I placed my order: white rice, double chicken, corn, cheese, and lettuce. She made the bowl perfect. When I got to the next server NOt the cashier, I requested three salad dressings, clearly stating that I was willing to pay for the extra. Maria (whose photo is attached) immediately responded, “No.” When I reiterated that I was willing to pay for the additional dressing, she raised her voice and said, “No, that’s not allowed.” I asked how that could be the case if I was offering to purchase it, and she replied, “Not at this location.” As a former Chipotle employee and frequent customer, I am familiar with your service standards, and this interaction was both unprofessional and upsetting. Maria then began speaking in Spanish to another worker, and they laughed directly at me. I also heard her make a racially charged comment referencing me being Black. At that point, I stated I no longer wanted the bowl if it could not be prepared as requested. I left feeling humiliated, denied service, and ridiculed over what amounted to a single extra salad dressing — something far less costly than discarding an entire meal. As a single mother of a Cerebral palsy child I just wanted my food the way I ordered it. This was an unacceptable experience that not only violated customer service expectations but also made me feel targeted based on my race. I request that this matter be investigated promptly and that appropriate action be taken regarding the employee’s conduct. Additionally, I would like clarification on Chipotle’s policy regarding “extra ingredients” when the customer insists on paying to...
Read moreIf I could give this place -5 stars I would. I don’t know who the manager is of this place (it is a male) but they need to be fired. My boyfriend and I went here for lunch today, 8/5/2019, planning to use our gift card his dad got us. We got to the cash register and handed the girl our gift card and also asked if they do military discounts, she did not answer the question but said she would give us her discount in place for military. Our total before the discount was $20 and some change, when she added her discount it came to $15 and some change. We thanked her and she proceeds to swipe the gift card she called another girl over to help because, as she told us, their gift card machine apparently is not working. They enter in the gift card number a couple times and even swiped it a few times then told us again that the gift card machine is broken. That’s when they called, I’m assuming the manager, over to the register and he told us it’s not working, took our military discount AWAY and asked if we had another form of payment. WHAT???!!!!!?!? He said they do not do military discount AND THEIR GIFT CARD MACHINE IS BROKEN. Please tell me how that is our fault? So now we have to pay with a different form of payment, which we did not want to do, AND they took a discount for ACTIVE MILITARY AWAY, that was initially given to us. Not only that, but once the manager came over, the girl who gave us the discount acted like she didn’t know what we were talking about. This is nothing about the money but more about The customer service we received was HORRIBLE. Definitely will not be going back to this chipotle, or any others for...
Read moreHORRIBLE, just was discriminated against Very unprofessional experience, Came in at about 3:03 today 9/14/22 just to be passed off to a very unprofessional worker who appeared to be on joke time, looking me in the face grinning with a smirk acting unprofessional as possible…. I’m a black guy myself so to see another black guy act that way during food service is unnecessary and unacceptable. Unacceptable for anybody no matter the race to behave the way he had. Things got even weirder once I got to register as he visibly kept doing the same thing as he looked at his co-worker at the register as she decided to engage with him and his unprofessional manners as if they’re sending signals making jokes, extremely weird encounter never have I ever been through something like that. I then asked for salad dressing for my salad bowl and she tells me “oh we don’t have salad dressing” while looking back at the childish employee giggling along with him.. this location tends to hire some of the most unprofessional workers and after today I’m definitely done
Was very childish felt as if I was back in middle school, would definitely love to speak with a manager or owner of this location to hopefully prevent another issue like this for the next customer spending their hard earned money to deal with an employee like him
To everyone else? I would suggest avoiding this location until they become serious about structure and customer service skills. Location is never the cleanest and tends to have people working there high, or playful. I would hate for anyone else to deal with the mess me and others...
