I had been wanting to try an authentic mangonada. I found this place and decided to give it a try. When I walked in, there was a sour smell but itās an ice cream place so maybe thatās where it came from. It took a couple minutes for someone to my order but no biggy. The woman tried to be kind. I donāt think theyāre used to seeing highly melanated people in their establishment.
What Iām most disappointed about was the how the mangonada was made and the quality. The base was some type of sugary mango sorbet. It wasnāt good at all. I expected it to be made with fresh, blended mangoes š. Some of the mango pieces were so mushy I spit them out. Other pieces still has mango skin on them. I ended up picking through it for good mango pieces and pouring most of it out. Maybe Iāll try a something else from there but Iām honestly not pressed for it especially after that smell⦠the mangonada...
