When I look for a new place I look at the bad reviews. I then see how the owner/management responses. There will always be negative reviews and how management responses is a direct insight into how the employees are treated.
In this case, management responds in a defensive way like they don't care.
I to have witnessed the person at the toast machine using his bare hands to handle toast. It doesn't take much to wear gloves or use tongs.
The coffee stinks. The potatoes taste store bought. Pancakes are good. Omelet was good. ... but nothing great.
If you want to compare breakfasts, go to the mad batter in Cape May. Prices are cheaper, and the product is much better. Or if you need to stay in the area, go across the street to the Reeds. Great views of the water, while eating breakfast.
The problem with this type of store in stone harbor is that there are always people on vacation that need food, so the owner can put put a lower end product, and made their money.
Plus it's cash only, so you know they are on the up and up.
I am canceling this place!! Better places to eat for less and without touching food...
Read moreWith an unusual hankering for breakfast my wife and I found ourselves seated at Fishin' Pier Grille South. Drawn to it's small diner atmosphere, we were seated promptly and had hot coffees in front of us quickly. From simple breakfast options to more 'complicated' omelettes, there is something for everyone on the menu. We ordered the Double Trouble (with blueberry pancakes), the raspberry french toast with a side of bacon, and a cinnamon roll to share. For as busy as they were, our food came out quickly and was piping hot! The pancakes were loaded with blueberries, the french toast had a subtle, yet delicious, raspberry flavor, and the cinnamon roll's icing was the cherry on top of everything. The next time I'm in the mood for breakfast in Stone Harbor, I'll be making a return...
Read moreI worked in restaurants, am certified in ServSafe, and have a degree in restaurant management…. I was at your restaurant on Sunday 9/26 and there were many things that were repulsive. I was there with my family and witnessed a woman running the toast station with no gloves. She turned around and took cash payment from a customer and returned to handling the toast without washing her hands. On another point, I witnessed the same woman rub her face and nose (during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC while not masked) and immediately handling someone’s food. You really need to fix this issue! I won’t be back! I have loyally been coming to your restaurant for a few years since you...
