While visiting Mystic Seaport I got a tip from my breakfast waitress to visit Stonington. So I decided to check it out and when I did I saw some great reviews of Noah’s. So off we went to explore Stonington and have lunch at Noah’s. Noah’s didn’t disappoint. As quaint as you can get inside. We were seated in a booth near the gas fireplace and it was a cold raw day, so I was very pleased. Katie our waitress was right over and asked us if we wanted a beverage to start. I wanted a decaf coffee to warm me up Katie said she’d brew me up a fresh pot. I really appreciated that effort on her part. The coffee came out promptly and we ordered our lunch. The Mrs and I both ordered the BLT which comes with 6 slices of bacon. I ordered mine with the home made medley chips and my wife ordered hers with broccoli. Yes I said Broccoli! Our sandwiches were excellent and I enjoyed my chips as well. The Mrs. could not believe her broccoli. She orders it almost every time we eat out for dinner. We have traveled some and she has ordered it all over the USA and parts of Europe. Well guess what, she said it was the best broccoli she has ever eaten. She said it was cooked to perfection. I’ll have to take her word for it, as broccoli and I don’t see eye to eye. We weren’t planning on dessert but we didn’t want to leave and the dessert case was close by and I had taken a peak. We decided on the Gingerbread Upside down cake with molasses topping and whipped cream. I also ordered a decaf Cappuccino something I can’t always get. Both were outstanding. In summary everything about Noah’s was perfect in atmosphere, beverages, food and service. Katie was a great waitress with an awesome personality. You’ll enjoy your visit to Noah’s if you get a chance to make a trip...
Read moreWhat a charming little place to sit and enjoy freshly made food. We were out yesterday in Stonington, CT. a a mini snow squall kicked up with a brisk cold wind which made our trip to Stonington even better. Driving on Water St. we saw Noah's on the corner flying the American flag at lunchtime. we stopped in . We were greeted by Meghan and seated in a cozy dining area with a few booths and tables spaced nicely. Old building so all the old floors and metal ceiling sheets and a bump out window table caught my eye. This place is a great place to warm the bones and sit and enjoy the atmosphere, there was party of 4 sitting and just enjoying each others company and the comfortable and cozy feel , nobody was rushing them out. We were seated and first thing you notice are the great photographs on the walls. A local artist John Papp, beautiful photography and neatly matted and framed. Colorful exotic birds and some local pictures all for sale. Onto the food, we were there for lunch, breakfast is served until 11:30 then they switch over to lunch. My wife ordered a Awesome Sauce Burger that comes with lettuce, tomato, cheese and smoked applewood bacon, I ordered a Boro Bowl, comes with rice and quinoa. You get 2 choices of sauces along with 4 standards, spicy sesame and ranch dressings I chose tomato, edamame, raw red onion and raw spinach. I added a protein Bulgogi steak. EXCELLENT bowl !!!!! My wife said her burger was great. Meghan provided excellent service with a smile. This small restaurant was a great stop for us, we will definitely be back again. Their menus offer something for everyone, breakfast, lunch or dinner you can't go wrong Top the experience off with beautiful...
Read moreIf you’re a local, then you eat here because it’s one of your only options. If you’re a tourist, I think you might be disappointed. The food was either over cooked or flavorless. When I expressed the flavor less of the frittata, I was offered another dish, but there are so few gluten-free or other relatively healthy options on the menu so I declined. Then I was offered salt and pepper. It’s really sad because when I googled the jimmy Nardello pepper that’s in this item it’s goes on about how creamy and sweet and delicious these peppers are but the problem was the chef cut them into thin, thin strips that completely lost all of the texture and flavor, so it was almost like they weren’t there. The only bites that had any flavor were the ones with ricotta and that was not throughout the frittata. Plus it was over cooked on the bottom, giving it that egg, crusty texture that no one likes. The challah French toast was over cooked to a point of being burnt. My husband is a food photographer and didn’t even want to take a picture of his meal. In the end the service was better than the food because I was given a mere 20% off the meal. Maybe will come back for dollar oysters on Tuesdays. Other than that would likely steer clear.. Don’t look under the table on the floor because the restaurant is not clean. And we were guests 10 minutes with an opening on a Sunday morning,...
