Starbucks — Restaurant in Stowe

First of all this place shouldn’t be in Stowe. Sadly I decided to quickly place an ahead order since I was in a rush and wanted to give it a chance. I order a VENTI with no ice, the description of this is 24fl oz, of the drink, not the ice. I understand that this means less of the add ins proportionally but the liquid should be 24fluid ounces. It was maybe 16 ounces which if I wanted I would’ve ordered 💕. The balding worker says that’s the venti… I’ve never had this happen at other coffee shops or Starbucks and this place felt unwelcoming. This dude genuinely repelled me from this place with his unprofessional attitude, maybe not all the workers are like this but it’s not hard to find someone to have a good work ethic… go to black cap coffee instead. Very kind and helpful service. The space is absolutely adorable and furniture is comfortable, would happily spend hours here with a book or to chat with friends.

Of course, there is the local vs. corporation dilemma in Stowe.

While I am a supportive regular at Black Cap, I think it makes sense that Starbucks has a location. Controversial? Sure, but considering the supportive business locals give Black Cap, The Roastery, and other local businesses, with the wide recommendation for tourists to try these locally owned businesses, it doesn't do as much harm.

The food and drinks are amazing and made fresh. I've had many good experiences at Starbucks in Stowe just this specific time I didn't. Today was my friends birthday and we went to Starbucks to hang out with friends and have a good time. But one of the staff members yelled at me and friends to get out with no further communication. No warnings beforehand just yelled to get out. Usually the staff members are very polite and have never treated me or my friends like this and haven't been treated so rudely any other time. Not to mention me and my friends are minors and this was a grown adult yelling at kids. I recommend going if you want to get a quick drink but if you can't handle yelling then I don't recommend staying there...
