Dropped in to check it out and I wasn’t disappointed! I asked Kristi, who took my order, what her go-to option was and she recommended me a winner with a pit bowl with mushroom medley and assorted toppings. In addition, I ordered the chipotle tomato soup with a mini quesadilla, because I’m a hungry hippo. Everything hit the spot in the right way, and I was so pleased with my meals. I would come back again for sure, with the big dilemma of whether I get the same meal again or do I try something new. The dining are had a very clean, chill vibe and off along the walls they have a small collection of games you can take back to play at your table and some ice cold water to quench your thirst.

They were spectacular. I placed the order at the restaurant’s take-out/pickup location (dining area is not quite open), just scanned the QR code and placed the order there. The wait was super fast, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Love having this new spot in Stowe! We’ll be ordering here weekly. Only one complaint: you can’t buy the limeade by the gallon. I finished mine before I even got home with the take out.

My wife and I were in Stowe for a hiking adventure, and after finishing our hike, we decided to stop at The Avocado Pit — and we’re so glad we did! We both ordered the Pit Bowl, which is essentially a delicious deconstructed burrito without the shell. Each bowl came loaded with rice, black beans, chicken, salsa verde, warm queso, romaine, cilantro sauce, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, extra corn, and, of course, added guacamole (because you can never have too much guac!). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — the kind of meal that feels both satisfying and energizing after a day outdoors.

Our server, Corey M., was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. They gave great recommendations and checked in just the right amount, which made the dining experience even better.

The ambiance here is relaxed and modern, with a welcoming vibe that fits right in with the Stowe community. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a casual meal, refuel after an adventure, and still feel like you’re treating yourself to something special.

If you’re in Stowe and craving fresh, flavorful food with excellent service, The Avocado Pit is a must-visit. We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back the next time...

The Mexican has landed!

Just finished my first meal from the Avocado Pit and couldn't be happier to share that this is some super delicious Mexican food that Stowe has needed forever!

The staff was very welcoming and knowledgable about their menu. They are loving the food they are putting out and that's a great sign!

I got the three taco meal along with a side of queso and chips. The chips were fantastic (details matter) and the queso was great (wishing I'd gotten the full order rather than half -- it was that good). The chicken tacos were just right, ample but balanced and not overloaded. A little Cholula to taste and these tacos would make anyone who's missing a good taco very happy.

Limeade was the perfect pairing! So excited that these good folks have setup shop in the Village. I should also say that the prices are fantastic for the quality of the food. I could easily have shared my three tacos + queso but was very happy I didn't have to!!
