Rockne's Pub — Restaurant in Streetsboro

The Streetsboro Rockne's was my first (and probably last) visit to this chain restaurant. It started bad as I was told the bar was full (I'm a single 58 year old dude). They sat me at a table with much sun glare. My server was nice and it got better as I got their excellent French onion soup and a Bud Lite. I should've stopped right there. After eating the soup I wanted a quick cigarette. When I got back my table was cleared of everything...including my almost full Bud Lite. Fine, they gave me a new one...and I was ready for my Slider Burger order. Probably the worst thing I've ever gotten from any restaurant ever. 3 miniature freezer burgers (engulfed by huge buns to make them look hearty...they were hardly.) They filled out the rest of my plate with a ridiculous amount of horrible fries...I'm not kidding...they must've sliced 4 potatoes worth) And at $8.50 for the Sliders it was truly dispicable. $5.50 for the French Onion soup and one $3.50 beer plus tax came to $19.78 for the garbage. Plus screaming children didn't help the ambience. Rest assured...this old fellow will...

Sub Par food from a below grade establishment. I used to love their beer battered fish, and their Broccoli and Cheese soup with a warm piece of pita bread, used to be the best lunch around, price goes up, first goes the quantity, then goes the quality, and the service is a joke. You either some entitled college boy, or some black chick with a chip on her shoulder, either one gets mad when I say politely I'd like my food a certain way. Dont wanna be of service, dont work in q service business. I still tried to leave a tip and my girlfriend gave me the dont you dare look.......... what else can I say. This is a trend in America any more. You want good food and good service. Dont settle for a restaurant chain. I grew up with Rockne's in both Cuyahoga Falls and over in Akron, it's just not the same anymore. Dont waste your time. Thanks for listening. More than anything tho, give it a try, see for yourself.
