Giant Eagle Bakery — Restaurant in Strongsville

Was looking for simple angel cake, packaged. Baker came out and looked in one place and said to try the frozen area. Didn't know or care apparently what I wanted. I found a young man whom I knew from the old Giant Eagle. Sean or Mike, I think. He knew exactly what I wanted and took me to the produce dept where it was, near the strawberries. Smiling and helpful. I don't know what is going on in the bakery dept, but it always seems like they are a bit stuck up . I have 11 cans of alimentum powder formula that I bought about 6 months ago. I am not on wic program. I did not save receipt. Now I found that every can is in the recall. GIANT EAGLE WONT TAKE THEM BACK WITHOUT A RECEIPT!!!!! Who saves receipt from 6 months ago!!!!!!' SHAME ON GIANT EAGLE THIS IS HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS IN FORMULA . The cashier took his time, hoping I would bag my own groceries. The cashier next to him, kept turning around and staring (not helping). 1 cashier sat there and played on his phone. And 2 managers (or supervisors) stood at their stand, laughing and joking, not helping at all (they were 10 feet away). VERY disappointed in the staff this visit. They try so hard to get you to go through self-checkout, and now, when you don't, they try to get you to bag your own groceries now. Very disappointed in the staff this visit.
