I have been using ideal nutrition as a subscription user for 3 months now with my fiancé the food is good, however, they have some issues they will need to acknowledge and resolve before they have a home run service. In order to qualify for free delivery you need to have at least 12 meals coming each week. And as a subscription service it charges my card weekly. When we first started the service we were so happy with it we would order extra meals for the following week. Then the red flags started to show when we needed to reduce the meals we were getting. If you want to increase the meals for the next week there is no issue and the system allows you to increase it to however many you want. The second you want to decrease the meals you are getting you are not allowed to do it yourself. You have to call the support line and ask them to decrease the meals you are getting. Which was fine the first couple of times I had to call, but over the summer when we are traveling a little more we had to call almost weekly to adjust the meals. In addition the system says you have until Friday to choose your meals for the following week, however, it auto charges my card on Wednesday. So today, Friday, oct. 25th, when I called to decrease my meals for next week they told me moving forward if I want the refund I have to call before my card it charged. Here's to hoping this review is seen by someone in their leadership as previous emails to their support team regarding this have gotten...
Read moreIdeal Nutrition is great for the two reasons I use it.
Balanced macro meals for fully scheduled days when I need to prepare and eat a meal and want to avoid fast food. $9 and 2:15 in the microwave is hard to argue against.
Make sure that an elderly parent that doesn't cook has a balanced macro meal for when I am unable to cook for them. Dad understands how long to cook and all he needs is a fork. Awesome.
Ideal has numerous meal choices that meet the standards of a variety of diets: paleo, vegan, "Merican, breakfast eaters, soul food eaters. From veggies, to pancakes, to chicken fingers... They got you.
*Note: when I say Balanced- I don't mean literally mean xCarbs/xProtein/xFat. I mean you are getting a good amount of each.
Friendly staff. I am in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. Food tastes great. Cheaper than fast food. And you get loyalty points.
Only con is the premium on energy drinks and bars. If I could (or if I can) earn and apply points to those two items- I'd purchase more of them from Ideal. I understand Ideal is making a profit on those to keep the meal prices reasonable. No such thing as a free lunch. Ever.
Highly recommend. Local ownership/management has done a great job since I have been going to the...
Read moreThe prepared meals are absolutely delicious! And fresh made nothing like a frozen prepared meal you buy at the grocery store and also well balanced for proper nutrition! They have meals to suit most diet concerns. My children who live on their own, eat these every night for dinner due to the fact that they are so busy working. For my husband and I it’s a perfect way to have a nutritional meal while cruising on our boat. When we cruise for a period of time, buy plenty to get us through to keep in my freezer. It is especially nice when you’re on Anchorage and have to conserve water. There is little too no dish cleanup. Only your fork you eat with because you just have to heat the meal in the container it comes in thawed and heat it up in the microwave for about two 2 1/2 minutes and they are delicious! Also very filling! I strongly suggest you give it a try and simplify your life! You will...
