First, lets give Family Furniture one star for delivering the furniture within the 6 to 8 week period. Our new Best Furniture Manufacturing power reclining sofa and rocker-recliner arrived in eight weeks. The only thing worse than3 the rocker/recliner is the customer service from Family Furniture. Best Furniture use to make quality furniture but that is not what we received. Maybe at some time in the past Family Furniture sold quality products and had good customer service. But, that is not our experience. We visited several stores and sat on the furniture to make certain the cushioning was soft. I let the salesperson know that I had recently had back surgery and that I could not sit on a firm chair or sofa. When delivered the new furniture was hard as a rock. Our salesperson said he remembered me letting him know about my back. He said all new furniture was like that and that the furniture would soften. He said he would call us in three weeks to make certain we were satisfied. He never called back so my wife called him. We also let him know that the plastic cover for one of the metal legs was missing. He promised someone would call and then come out. Eight days later we had not heard from anyone at Family Furniture so once again my wife called. She talked with the customer service person who handles these situations. She was told there was no record of us calling but she had the plastic covers for the metal leg and that we could pick one up at the store. Granted putting the cover on the leg was not difficult. The hard part was that I am 75 years old and had back surgery. Then, the rocker-recliner started squeeking so a store person came out and sprayed WD 40 on the mechanical parts. That worked for about one hour. Also, that was when I noticed that the rocker arms were plastic - not metal or wood. Next, the the rocker chair started clicking when you got up or down from the seat or rocked in the chair. It sounds like springs popping but then I'm not a furniture repair person. Again, we called Family Furniture. They said a technician would contact us within two days. Seven days later no one had called so we contacted Family Furniture again. They said they would follow up. Four days later the service tech called and said he was out of the country and would call us the following Monday to set an appointment. That means we will have waited 17 days to be able to schedule an appointment, if he calls. The service tech is located in Miami and we are 115 miles north of Miami. Read moreWe have been buying everything from this store for years, happy they were veteran supporters and they picked up and donated to Vets when the delivered your new purchase! This time it didn’t work fir us, we are seniors including a disabled vet! They delivered our new recliner, but now only set your old furniture at the curb, guess what after 2 days we got a notice from the city that we must get it hauled away or pay a fine of $100! I called The store and the woman told me she would call me back that same day!! Guess what, crickets!!! She did not call and neither did management! So that evening I myself went out and drug the recliner to the back of my home until the 3rd Monday of the month when our new garbage collection will pick it up and I will once again literally drag it to the curb myself, since my husband has Parkinson’s and can not do it at all! I struggled, but I got it moved away from the curb thanks for caring about Vets Family Furniture and never calling back! I promise we will never be in your store again! Did you know that the new trash service would fine or not allow the recliner to be there 2 days! This recliner was in perfectly condition and could have been used by a Vet, now it is water soaked and waiting for this 74 year old woman to drag it back to the curb on the 3rd Monday of the month ( thanks St Lucie for such great service to your senior...
Read moreBad customer service I bought my bedroom sets before Christmas 2023 I received everything except one of my nightstand plus my mirror was cracked before they put it down from the delivery truck. I was offered the broken mirror for a discount if I wanted,wowwww, according to the delivery guys it was only one nightstand on the paper, another messed up. When I called the place I spoke with Erin she had to double check with Brian my salesman for my order. Erin called me back saying oh yeah it was an error. Okay, so almost two weeks later they came back wring mirror this time, and wrong color nightstand laughing I called them again. They go oh I'm sorry, do you want to keep the nightstand for a discount. At this point I'm frustrated I responded nope. I was so disappointed, and mad that I was going through all this, and they all manager over there least that's what they told me. So that was December 2023 today March 1st 2024 I called this morning Jessica was such a disappointment I reminded her who I was she had no clue, and then my nightstand and mirror been at the warehouse, and I never got a call to let me know. Shame on all of you that works there. Never again😒 and I will never recommend this place to anyone! Shameful...
