Stack: Burgers - Bourbon — Restaurant in Stuart

I went to Stack Burgers - Bourbon while visiting Stuart. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed vibe, with a second-floor to accommodate larger parties.

I liked that there was a wide variety of bourbons, the pour rations should be improved. For a $40 glass, it was more like a sip I rec'd until I said something to the waitress, who tried to state it was a ice (come on now). The spiked milkshakes are worth a try! I originally wanted a rum colada, but they were out of the Rumchata during my visit. The cinnamon munch was my backup - it was ok, it was not heavy on the Fireball.

My least favorite part: the food. Sadly, 7 out of 8 items at my table was not good. For appetizers, we ordered the fried tempura bacon - this was super greasy; bacon is already greasy as it is, and the breading just held in the greasy making it super soggy. The cut on the bacon is good, but perhaps do a flavored bacon. The second appetizer was the the smoked cheese - this needed some flavor like a garlic or onion powder added. Can't just sprinkle peppers and a green onions on top and expect flavors. The cut of the potato it came with was good. We had asked about the wings, the waitress immediately would not recommend! For the entrees, more than half of the table's food was cold. When a burger arrives and the cheese is not melted, that's not a good sign. I had the surf and turf burger; which is a burger that comes with shrimp and arugula - the arugula was over powering with each bit. With each bite, I could taste the burger and shrimp from the first 3 bites, then it was bread-arugula-bread-arugula (kind of disappointed). The only party at our table who's was okay, was the vegetarian burger - the temperature of the food was good and the taste was good.

I am so ashamed that I forgot to leave a review for this place last time we ate here. My husband and I dropped in a half hour from closing on a Sunday with an extremely fussy toddler. We were very warmly welcomed by a gentleman I wish who's name I wish I could remember. He did not even remind us once that they were trying to close. In fact, he reassured us and encouraged us to stay as long as we needed to. The environment was amazing. There are some places where the waiters will come by every few minutes and ask you how everything is. I feel like there is a perfect happy medium between that and leaving you madly waving for them to just get the damn waters. This gentleman had a knack for timing. He was there when we needed him. He did not even inch away after my bourbon-warmed husband wouldn't stop talking. Lol. He was wonderful. Now that was just the service. The food is whole other level amazing. I literally have never had a burger that phenomenal. And we ordered chicken nuggets childs meal for my babe, which thankfully came in a mountainman size, because they were SO GOOD that my husband and I had to jump on them too. Drinks? An innovative alchemist's caliber of mind blowing. Once again I feel terrible about not reviewing the last time we ate here. This was a take out order. I was wanting a really good juicy burger. My sister was in Stuart & decided to pick up a burger for me. My first glance was the bun really nice large but when I picked it up it was a big mess. Where's the Burger? To my disappointment it was a smashed burger not a big thick juicy burger. I took off the top bun so I can get a better look at what was inside huh I couldn't make it out it was so mushy. I picked at the dressing and there's some sauteed onions bacon but the bacon was not fresh it was so hard I pulled it out & discarded. It also had small pieces of jalapenos and don't know what the sauce was and the cheese was??? I don't know. Frankly it was the worst burger I've ever had. My sister ordered chicken sandwich and she did not fair any better she threw her sandwich in the trash. My opinion is this is all "smoke and mirrors" Fancy menu, deceiving marketing pics, take out package burger in a box in a shopping bag & very very expensive! Don't be fooled.
