We got to the restaurant at about 710, very full so we didn’t get a table for a bit. Once we got the table, we were told chris was our waiter. We had all of our food picked out and we were waiting for chris to come take our order. We waited about 30 minutes and no sign of him. He came to take our order and explained he was very busy, no problem. We ordered our food and waited for our drinks as we watched him lean on the bar and use his phone. Finally after he made his own drink he got what we ordered. We sat and waited for our food, we finally got it, we were eating for ten minutes, and chris gave us the check just as we scratched the top of our burgers and salads. He explained that it was his off day and his girlfriend wanted him home and asked us to pay. After we payed we watched him lean on the bar and use his phone for a little and then he disappeared. We all ran out of our drinks and there was no server to refill us Because ours had to go home to his girlfriend. I understand family is important but he couldn’t check in one more time before he left? A few positives is that even though he didn’t come to us right away, chris and the rest of the staff we were friendly and very hospitable. The soup was also very good, I recommend the sea chowder. My bbq burger with onion rings was soaked with bbq sauce. We also got appetizers (onion rings, and BONELESS wings). The wings we received were not boneless. The onion rings were cooked very well, and they tasted very good. Over all I would rate this a 2 star because of...

My last few visits have been growing more disappointing, and after my most recent visit (7/22/24,) I'm unsure if I'll return anytime soon.

To start, our waitress was PHENOMENAL! Super polite, super bubbly, and super apologetic for the wait (busy night AND she was training.)

The food quality, however, was far below what I'd expect for such a busy evening. I ordered a Chicken wrap and my partner ordered a Ceasar salad with grilled chicken. The chicken on the wrap was barely warm... and I do mean BARELY. I could tell it was heated at some point, but it certainly wasn't any time close to when I received it. The chicken on the salad was cold, as if it went straight from the cooler to the salad. We've each ordered the Ceasar Salad here before and NEVER received cold chicken with it. The chicken itself was a bit concerning as well. BEST case, several chicken breasts are grilled at once and then refrigerated to be used throughout a shift. WORST case, they're using pre-cooked, pre-cut chicken from a bag that they simply heat up to serve. Either way, the quality of the chicken is not good.

Our excellent server DID offer to have the kitchen get some warm chicken for the salad after we brought it to her attention, as apparently cold chicken on this salad is the norm. My partner opted out since it was already a busy night, we had already waited a bit, and the kitchen was likely behind as it was. We didn't want to unnecessarily add to any stress they were already...

I have been here for lunch two times in Sept. The service and my meal were pretty average on the first visit. Another in my group ordered the fettuccine which was very creamy and delicious. Another and myself ordered hamburgers, which we felt were average when we compared opinions. They also felt their sweet potato fries were burnt in appearance but cold. Possibly the oil used to fry them was on the old side? I went again two weeks later with another group including one who also had been at the first luncheon. We stood by the wait to be seated sign and eventually were told to seat ourselves. There were groups of dinner's at most of the tables we were directed to and the two open tables had not been bussed. We were handed the menus and when we asked for the table to be sanitized were directed to a different section of the restaurant in a semi hostile tone. After a while our orders were taken with the same attitude. We who had been there previously both ordered the fettuccine. Surprisingly we both thought while it was very tasty, the sauce was much thinner than the previous visit. As we were waiting for our bills I went to use the facilities. We had been waiting a little long for the bills. I passed our waiter sitting at the bar eating his meal. This second visit was toward the end of the month when college/summer workers would back to school. Maybe that contributed to our experience. There seemed to be one bartender and our waiter working...

Where do I begin. They totally missed the mark with bad/poor buisness practices. They tried to charge me for three beers when I only ordered two, they did not give me their advertised rate for a beer during happy hour, when in fact, I ordered both my beers before 6:00pm. They charged me .50 for bbq sauce. My son and I ordered a chicken tender basket for 13$ and for that price you would think the chicken would be whole white meat stringy muscle, nope, it is processed, frozen bs, we also ordered shrimp skewers for 12$ and for that price you'd think the shrimp would be of decent size, nope, they are about the size you see put into salads. Never again. Go else where. ****update after buisness replied**** Whoa, whoa, whoa, look at the time stamp on BOTH receipts, both before 6:00pm. Again, bad business practices quit trying to rip off tourists. That's what got me the most pissed, is when you tried to charge me for three beers and took away the happy hour discount on one of them, also, are you going to start charging your customers for ketchup, salt and pepper, where does it end when you state its a common industry standard now, give me a break, quit knickle and diming your patrons and they will not leave bad reviews. Full stop. PERIOD SHAME ON YOUR ESTABLISHMENT, DONT TRY TO SNEAKLY RIP OFF TOURIST

I went on a Saturday evening around 6:30 pm, and the place was crowded with a 45-minute wait for a table. After about 20 minutes, spots opened at the bar for myself and my 2 friends, so we sat there instead. There was only 1 bartender for the long bar, and she was doing a great job keeping up with everyone. She was smiling, friendly, and very efficient. We ordered, and the food came in a reasonable amount of time, hot and delicious! I had the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, which had a good amount of pork topped with coleslaw on a toasted roll. One friend had Prime Rib, which she said was done perfectly & my other friend had the Chicken Pesto Wrap, which she said was good but lacked a lot of flavor. The bar & returaunt walls were adorned with badges from fire, police, sheriff's departments, and more from all over state(s) which was kinda cool to see. I would definitely go there again the next time I'm in Door County.

It was pretty late on a Tuesday night for dinner and my wife & I were running low on options considering the original bar & grill we walked in on the same stretch only served lunch. Luckily this venue had an hour left before closing so why not. My stepdaughter volunteered to watch over our boys so my wife & I could be alone for a bit so we took advantage. So from what I understand, this actually was formerly a fire station which is pretty cool and God bless all our fire fightin' men & women. I wouldn't say the menu is extraordinary but the food and drinks overall were good at still reasonable prices, service was friendly, dining area kept clean and we enjoyed the vibe. You can also get your game on here. It was our 3rd visit to Door County and the very 1st time dining in here and not bad at all. I wish for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).
