Novel Bay Booksellers — Local services in Sturgeon Bay

On our visit to Door County, we stopped in Sturgeon Bay for lunch and walked along the main retail street in town. Just a few doors down from the restaurant was this amazing bookshop, where it was such a pleasure to spend time! This store has a great feel and atmosphere, with many genres of new books and lots of bookish accessory items. There were several seating areas and a phenomenal children's area with a couch! Lovely bookstore. Great selection of local writers, and a set of local mysteries I found really engaging. Very happy to find it in Sturgeon Bay, and will go back. It would be an easy five star review, except, contrary to other reviewers, I found the owner/ employee? (Kimberly) aloof, prickly, dismissive, non-conversive to us even though we bought something. And the person with the cell phone questions and the dog the employee cooed over were apparently a few rungs above us. Not sure why, but a real turn off. Vacationing in Sturgeon Bay, we had the pleasure of visiting Novel Bay Booksellers. Wonderful store with an incredible collection of books in every category. Their children's section is fantastic and to any parent visiting Sturgeon Bay, we would highly recommend visiting with your children. Had a lovely conversation with the owner and especially enjoyed that she knows so much about different authors and books. Would certainly recommend stopping by Novel Bay Booksellers when visiting Sturgeon Bay. It is a slice of heaven...
