AJ’s Downtown Dogs — Restaurant in Suffolk

First time visiting this local restaurant and I decided to place an order online through their website. It was convenient and easy and I liked that the food was ready upon arrival. The hotdogs were pretty good, all beef but I didn’t care for the chili, it didn’t taste homemade. Also I ordered a side of baked beans and fries, the beans tasted like they were from a can and the hand cut fries were just awful, not seasoned, shoestring size and half of the fries were overcooked and the other half was almost raw. This place is awesome very conveniently located in the center of downtown N. Main St. in Suffolk, Virginia. The staff was extremely friendly. There is a weenie of the week so check out that when you go in today it was a loaded hotdog beef hotdog with french fries cheese and bacon, it was delicious. It’s a one story level with the road so easy access for handicap. In the little restaurant is set up like an old-fashioned hotdog stand. It was a pleasant lunch and I definitely recommend going here if you like hotdog. It just might be one of the best hot dogs...

If I could give this place more than five stars, I would! Everything was great! From the friendly greeting when we walked in, to placing our order, to getting our food in a more than reasonable time, to having our food. The place was very clean and organized. Prices are very reasonable. I had the Danny Dogs special and the chili cheese loaded fries. It was all sooo good. The chili cheese fries came with a side of ranch. I was hesitant to try the fries with it but it tasted pretty damn good. I can't wait to go back....
