Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Suffolk

We brought a family of four around dinner time and parked in one of the stalls. At the very start of ordering our food - before even selecting a drink - I received a rude “is that all?” I was a little taken back because I only said one item, so I stated that I had a big order and I would let her know once I am finished. Even with my comment the woman on the other side of the speaker continued to ask “is that all?” after each and every single item I ordered. By the end of ordering I was completely upset. I felt rushed and got the impression that SHE was annoyed from the tone of her voice. I decided not to cancel my whole order and just go somewhere else because my kids were excited to try a new drink. (Had it been any other visit, we would have left due to how rude she was). I find it extremely unprofessional to address customers this way, especially when I stated I had a larger order in the beginning.

I am leaving this review as I usually receive pleasant customer service from Sonic. Her tone and the constant question of “is that all” was just off-putting. I hope this is addressed or we will just have to avoid this location and go further up the road.

Seriously awful. Took my kids to get ice cream, first time at this location. They weren't busy at all, I could see quite a few employees inside. 15 minutes after ordering just ice cream for 3 people, we were still waiting. I pressed the button again and politely asked about our order and was told to hold. A minute later the lady who took our order walks up to my car and asked what we ordered. When I told her she remembered taking the order and went back inside. Unclear why this conversation couldn't have taken place over the speaker when I inquired. About 5 minutes later she comes back with our ice cream and apologized because she rang our order up as drive thru. I hadn't yet paid because the screen never showed my order or a way to pay. She takes my card and takes at least 5 more minutes to come back. She asked if I wanted a receipt, I replied that I did and also asked for spoons since my children didn't get any. She seemed annoyed. A few more minutes later she comes back with the spoons. I very politely thanked her and she said nothing and walked away. No receipt. I seriously have not experienced such bad service at any other Sonic location. It took 25 minutes to get ice cream at a location that had 3 other cars waiting. Slowest drive through in Suffolk! Cannot get the order right to save their lives! Ordered ice cream around 10:15ish pm (so it wasn't busy)... after waiting at the menu for a few minutes, we ordered 5 shakes. The girl taking our order did not repeat our order, asked multiple times for me to repeat myself and when I got to the window, I asked her to repeat my order to make sure she got everything and she acted annoyed and tried to ramble it off all quick, low and behold, she had messed up one of the shakes and then she proceeds to tell some other guy working that I "was changing my order" and she needed him to come there. The guy got the order straight after I explained what had happened, he gave us two of the shakes with no straws or spoons and told us to go park in the first drive in space and they would bring out the rest of our order. 10 minutes later, they still hadn't brought us the rest of our order, and meanwhile because we weren't given any utensils or straws to drink the ones we did have, they were all melted. My husband ended up going and knocking on the window and told them we wanted a refund. The guy told my husband they "forgot" about us being parked over there and weren't even making the dang shakes!!! Wow!! The order taker was rude, the employees can't get simple orders correct, they are forgetful and are so slow!!! Definitely need to get their...
